  1. did anyone get any pictures of the timber wolf? I am really interested in upgrading the Ranger (not sure at that price though) hmmmmmm.
  2. Do you say that because you like the Prelude, or because you don't like the Audi A3's!?! lol Not so keen on how the Prelude was kitted! You can get some much better and nastier looking kits from Mugen! (£££££ though). I'm just a lover of all things Honda! I wasn't too keen on the mugen kits though and I can GUARANTEE that no kit from mugen or any other supplier is more expensive than the kit I had on the Prelude. It is a Cyber Motorsports Predator kit and the company (Cyber Motorsports in New Zealand) only made 2 of these kits (me being one of the owners). I think it was a 18piece kit and I payed £4800 including the shipping from New Zealand

  4. they aren't working though? What NV is it?
  5. My old car that got written off in the floods (Oh and this was my ''boy racer'' phase, I'm past that now! and I'm not a chav either, just wanted my car to be different!! ) Its a 2.2 Honda Prelude Vtec. Mostly bodywork but a nice sound install and a few engine mods but nothing drastic: I have now got a Audi A3 (04 plate) 2.0l Tdi, but no pictures yet. Haven't had it that long (I love this car SOOOO much more than the Prelude, its sooo nice and smooth/quiet to drive! )
  6. Awesome pics!! I would love to do that!!!!
  7. That's gonna be sloooooww. Go for the 130 one mate or the GTTDi 150. I have the 130 engine in my VRs and its a beast, torque steer away Yep, the 100 will be really slow!! I have got a 2.0l Audi A3 Tdi and that is 140. It is very quick and the torque is summet else! I love it (hopefully re-mapping it soon aswell as I want more!!!) lol

    FAC Rated

You can actually get the Ranger set at 80ft/lbs by Daystate :( (I think that would be way too much though. 30-40ft/lbs would be more than enough and atleast you can keep a decent shot capacity) I would love an FAC Ranger. I love my Ranger at 12ft/lbs
  9. no offense to the above but I personally would never use pointed pellets because they are '****' (sorry). Pellet weight does actually make quite a bit of difference to the muzzle energy produces. As a general rule, If you are using a springer, then a lighter pellet will be produzing more muzzle energy (ft/lbs) whereas if you are using a PCP then a heavier pellet will give you more ft/lbs. In my Ranger, if I use Logun Penetrators at 9.5 grains, I will get 11.4 ft/lbs. If I use Air Arms Field at 8.44grains, I will get 10.3ftlbs which is quite a bit of difference if you aske me, definetly enough to affect the trajectory of the pellet. If you are using a springer then my advice would be to try either Air Arms Field or JSB Exacts. Both of these are 8.44 grains and normally group well in most rifles. Hope this helps

    AMMO!!!!!

So in order to get more power (making sure you are still within the legal limit!!) you will be best off using a lighter pellet.
  11. I think pigeon is delish. I like to fry mine in a little garlic butter and then have another dollop of the galic butter whilst eating. Tastes very similar to steak imo. I have even converted a few people at work as I told them not to knock it untill they'd tried it. I fetched them a couple and they love it. They're always asking for more now!! lol
  12. I have got a GB Sights ASPRO Digital nightvision for the rifle but found it hard to scan the fields/barns with it so I wanted a cheap monocular. I had a look on that auction site and managed to get hold of a unit from Germany. It was £40 posted and is FANTASTIC!!! My garden is 30yards long and even when it is pitch black, I can see clearly with it upto the top of the garden (I can see every leaf on the trees and bushes etc) Amazing for the price
  13. That is exactly what happened to me hehe, it is definately true. .177 is definately an easier calibre all round to work with. I would love to try .20 but have never had the chance.
  14. .177 for me also. The only reason being that there seems to be more pros than cons with this calibre. .177's have a flatter trajectory, which means if you aren't very good at estimating ranges, the .177 calibre is more forgiving. Also, .177 are not as affected by wind which is also a good thing. A .177 pellet will take down a rabbit as easily as a .22 pellet - aslong as you hit them where it counts! P.S - I used to shoot .22 and thought it was the best calibre by far as I never had any problems, but then I got a .177 and just feel that it is an easier calibre to work with and that is all that counts when it comes to making a clean kill.
  15. NO MATTER WHAT, do not put your gun at over 12ft/lbs without a FAC. you can get an instant 5 years in jail for possesion of a firearm and is it really worth it? NO, I didn't think so. I actually recieved a chrono today (£40 posted) and it is excellent. My Ranger is set at 11.4ft/lbs and also If you are going to be adjusting the power, you should not adjust it so it is over 11.5ft/lbs as this is a safe limit. If you are caugt with a rifle that is shooting even as little as .1ftlbs over the legal limit you could still face a jail term. Hope this helps

    AMMO!!!!!

This depends on what you are shooting - A PCP or a Springer? in a PCP, a heavier pellet will be producing more power than a lighter one. It is exactly the opposiote in a springer though, a lighter pellet will be producing more power. It does make quite a big difference. I have just bought myself a chrono as I want to make sure all the pellets I shoot are within the legal limit

    pellets

I used to have a Lightning. I found the best pellets were either the Air Arms Field or as mentioned above the RWS Superdomes. To be honest, I would never use pointed pellets. The accuracy is absolutely rubbish at hunting ranges and sometimes you will get over penetration. Domed pellets are by far the best. hollow points aren't bad when shooting rats or feral pigeons but overall domed are best. What are you going to be doing with the BSA? Are you going to be hunting or doing targets? If you have only just started shooting then I STRONGLY suggest that you do NOT shoot any living thing untill you are shooting targets consistently and getting groupings of under an inch. Also, what range have you been shooting the Bisley pellets at?? You should be aiming to get groupings under an inch at anything between 25-35 yards. Hope this helps and happy shooting. P.S - The BSA Lightning is one of the best springers out there in the price range

No problem. Glad I could help. GINB make some awesome stocks and they are probably one of the cheapest out there aswell!! I don't think I have ever seen anything bad written about their stocks! Also if you look at your other thread on the topic, there is a link to the stock I think yuou are referring to on a hornet :(

See my reply to your other thread. You can get a thumbhole hornet stock from a company called GINB. I think it is in Italy. You can contact them on their website by going onto: www.ginb.it Hope this helps mate :(

  21. Some people get it all!! I really wish I had more land. The only rabbit permission I have is 2 large gardens but there isn't 'loads' of rabbits. Well done on the new permission though mate, I bet you are well chuffed!!
  22. I have got a 3-12x44 MTC Viper on my Daystate Air Ranger. It is absolutely AWESOME. imo, it kicks *** out of every other scope in the same price bracket.
  23. to be honest I think she just enjoys digging. Admitedly she has got better over the last month or so but still has a dig now and them. I haven't noticed any patterns, she has dug a big hole next to the rotary washing line and also one in the corner of the garden next to the house. Thanks again (only just noticed shes giving the puppy dog eyes in that photo lol)
