Many people say labs because the springers struggle carrying the canadas which we get alot where i live !!!

my friend has two cocker spaniels and they are great dogs ! with alot of energy my mum and dad dont like the idea of a lab becauuse there big so im in a predicament !

I am in the process of looking for a gundog and do not no what to get between a lab or springer . as i am 17 i am new to the whole dog thing but the dog will be used for pigeon shooting and hopefully wildfowling and the odd pheasant shoot . what are your thoughts ? thanks william
