I don't know either but one is Halstead and the other is Halsted!

I use shredded paper. I also kennel the dogs together over the winter.

But they do spell their Surnames slightly differently.

Thanks again for the advice folks. Jamie G, deer stalking is something I want to try, but I won't apply for a rifle for stalking until i've been out with an estate rifle to see how much I enjoy it (although i've got a feeling I will!!!). Think i'll have a word with my FEO to see what is likely to be authorised.

I agree with Anna, every time the dog moves, put it back on the exact spot it moved from. Do you do any work with cold game and a starting pistol? It may be a way of conditioning the dog not to move to bangs and the fall of game. Leigh

Unfortunatlty they do pick up bad habits. I train and exercise my dogs seperately to help prevent this and I have the option to kennel seperately too, however I've got them together at the minute with the weather about too turn it will hlp with warmth. If its going to be living in the house you will have to make sure it doesn't get any bad habits from the family and make sure you all sing from the same sheet!!! I think its what was used at the British Shooting Show. I had a go at the first fair and thought it was brilliant fun!!!
