Another vote for Joe Irving Gundogs and their learning chain. A very sensible and logical approach to gundog training in my opinion.

You see what happens Larry?! This could go on! Apologies for derailing the thread. Love the stool. I'm going to have to stop reading the craft section, makes me very jealous of the skills the good folk of pw have.

I'm going to have to watch it again!

I saw them in Nottingham once protesting at the milk race. They didn't like me pointing out that if no one drank milk or ate beef there would be a lot less cows and that they're basically getting rid of cows. -
Second dibs please.

I think wabbit bosher off here would have something suitable.

Thanks for the replies, the Ariel worked on one of my collars. Does anyone know where I can get a cap for a micro collar? Thanks again.

I'd also say tikka t3. I paid £700 with a meopta scope and bought a t8 mod second hand for £60. -
I've got a flextone flx 500 which I'm very happy with. It comes with American calls but you can load your own onto it.

Hello from Derbyshire. Where do you shoot clays at?

Cheers ttab, if the Ariel doesn't work I'll order one off eBay. Thanks
-
Thanks, I'll give that a go.

Retriever training- moving through cover

Hi Lee, a video training a dog to jump would be handy. Most dogs I see halt at the obstacle instead of going over, particularly with a blind retrieve. Cheers, Leigh -

Brilliant video. That's training the dog and it doesn't even know it's being trained. Just a natural transition from what it already knows. -
I heard a rumour that kedleston just outside of derby are looking for beaters. If you look on guns on pegs you should find contact details.

Scarily close to me, I'll keep an eye out, and keep an eye on my dogs! What time of day were they stolen?

Really sorry to hear your news. I hope you get a positive outcome.

Another great video Lee. Do You use that method for steadying all your dogs? I think I would have struggled to use that method with my cocker as he would wrestle passed me, so I wondered if you have an alternative method for training steadiness. Once again though, great video. I always look forward to the next.
