  1. Some of it is acting and hamming it up for the show, it would be boring if nothing ever went wrong and he shot every bird first shot. Some of the problems and mistakes are so you watch and learn from him
  2. Sainsbury's have some decent flocked crow decoys in for £8 for Halloween, and strangely some small blackbirds cheaper
  3. When I went about twenty years ago it was like Cranfield said, they were so appreciative of any tip. you couldn't spend your money, I swapped my money with the beach life guard, who also sold me cd's, and if it was wet would call his mate at the other beach,( he would close his beach) and he would come and taxi us privately into Bourgas and shadow us round the shops and the markets each day, stepping in when we were about to get a bad deal, he even took me to a few local gunshops to look at pistols and Kalashnikovs , all marked in dollars for sale. Great days but wouldn't go back now.

    Scone

On Friday it was mince, it took an hour to cross Perth and get in from the A9 roundabout at 9.20, and the same back again at 3.30 home, best go straight through the town I'd say. Take plenty of dirty shoes, everyone wants to shine your shoes this year ***.
  5. It took to post 60 until my favourite Eka popped up. Ive had one of their super swedes for 30 years now and its still my top knife. Handed it to a stalker once, and during the gralloch he kept butchering until he ended up with the bladder bag cut off intact and full, he was very impressed. Other than that I have a couple of Buckmarks from Cabelas and a Boar bush knife, all honed on Waterstones of course.
  6. Never done it to a HW, though my stud on the synthetic stock was a bit loose on my CZ, I simply made up some Araldite rapid and pushed the screw in with some glue and wiped off the excess, taped it in place overnight and its been perfect
  7. Most of the kit labelled Barbour International, is cheaply made fashion items similar to BHS quality, the wax jackets that are Barbour and do not have the international part are ok and last well. Though Barbour would be my last choice, I would opt for Musto or Le Chameau, or maybe Harkila if my bonus stretched, and I do have a nice Paramo jacket for fishing that I would not put near a thicket
  8. Give him £80 if it's very good, maybe £95 if he has the rarer Viscount.
  9. He won't need to at present a shotgun cert will cover until it expires then a new airgun license will be required.
  10. You forgot Volvo for sale.
  11. Ronnie Pickering is better known
  12. Ive read these five page and its good to hear all the different views, I have no idea on coarse fishing, but it looks cheaper than fly fishing and tying your own flies.
  13. Johhny,,,,,,,,,,,,,Just been given a free pass for this so count me in please. What time ?
  14. ^^^^^^^^^ Listen to this above, he knows good stuff. To buy yourself look on Brownells site in the US, will cost you about £70 from memory. If it's a beretta you will need to make the stock bolt semi fixed in place and fillet a piece of wood in as the saw cut leaves a hole, look s ok if it's diamond shaped.
  15. All my previous Berettas were sent away to have the comb made adjustable, including my present DT11, the aftermarket option is better than the factory model, they return a better cost once selling on in the future, also they balance the gun out a bit better.
  16. Exactly what I think, my old owl is a dark coloured affair. But I ask myself when I last saw an owl out in the open during the day, I know some folk that have never seen an owl apart form at a Game fair, crows are the same.
  17. There are stacks open on Sundays, check out the CPSA website
  18. You will get limited success, and comparing between using decoys and calls and adding an Owl wont make much difference. After owning my Owl for 30 years its not worth the fuss, to be truthful I wonder how many Crows have actually seen an Owl let alone a giant one, as Owls are mainly night birds here, if you could get a Buzzard in a decoy or a floater that might work better.
  19. I can see him also but that's not a priest on the log, that's Tam Scott he was buried on Inchmurrin,

    Jury service

Its because you are a subject of the Crown they can force this. Only way out is if you are a, something else with a Crown on it, I was excused as I was an HMP Prison Officer(15 years I done), or anything with civil duties to carry out. Oh and anyone appearing from custody is guilty, just so as you know.
  21. My housekeeper got me a rake of blades and a handle from Clean Shaven, initially it looks like a good deal but comparing it to Gillette on offers there is no comparison, it looks a similar product but cheaper, the shave is close but I'd say grows back quicker
  22. I would say a Large,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Im 46 and went to a 2xl in the Koktor Fabric jacket,, can remember what its called, its truly a tough cloth.
  23. Probably most of the cash is in the Turkish Walnut stock,
  24. I've got one of those decoy mega rucksacks that carry it all, not sure if they are made these days, think it was from Decoy-direct, it really is huge, it's about 50% bigger than the Jack Pyke version,
