  1. just on the calling foxes during the day, i find while it is nowhere near as effictive as calling at night when lamping and rifleing them. it does have its uses when out foxing during daylight hours and particularly at dawn or dusk it distracts them if you need to move in closer or change position to start moving in if your not completely downwind. works for me weather i'm using rifle or shotgun but particularly effective when shotgunning as can speed up gettin those last few yards for range when 'ol basil normally bolts. ps i use back of my hand. 2. British Intelligence sorry couldn't resist:P
  3. 28gm 7 1/2 eley with half choke cheap an very very effictive
  4. thankz for your insights. not even thinkin of giving up my trusty lanber semi. just was wondering about them. the mid sight looks odd and was just inquiring if it was any use. One major item about these weapons is the cost, several thousand Euro Double H I would love to see the salad you'd get for that kinda money
  5. my local gun dealer has started stocking Ceasar Gurreni <spelling???> over and under shotguns, and just out of pure curiosity i was wondering if anybody out there has one, fired one, or knows anything about them. About the only thing i do know about them is that they look nice, fit well and have a a bead sight mid-way along the barrell aswell as the end and this is the main thing i was interested in To know is is of any use or just there for Aesthetics? Cheerz Jakal
  6. a quick question might sound rediculous, but is there much if any loss in power between from gas opperated semi's and bennilli style straight recoil. As for cleaning gas opperated semi's, call me sadistic but i enjoy the job i find it the perfect way to relax after a heavy days shooting
  7. as you might guess i'll say lanber, very cheap quite astethically nice. but the main reasons being very light, a must for rough shooters like myself and ultra reliable, over 3000 rounds in little over a year with comninations of 3" 2 3/4" 2 1\2" at anyone time. lurcherboy i must ask are you serious about liking pumps?:yp: PERSONALLY SPEAKING i can't use them, the whole movement of the guns as you swing between birds is too off putting. but if you like 'em its up to you.
  8. what kinda sentiment?:yp: their about as useful as a 7 1\2 against an elephant , have a few somewhere but i recon its illeagle to post them or send by practically any means from ireland
  9. Hmmmmmmm. thats a difficult one. i'll go out on a limb here and go with. . . . . . . . GUINNESS
  10. ask the non-believer how many rabbits have to be shot to bring a constant supply of veggies to their table
  11. "Osama ditched the beard and **** off to the uk for re-training"
  12. when i went about getting my semi-auto tried several baikals and found them all a bit front heavy
  13. i have a lanber semi-auto 28" barrel, can take 3" magnum. found it the easiest gun i ever fired, started out with o/u 's never settled well with the two i had or any i fired. As for the lanber its a dream to use, nice and light for long days rough shooting better gun than many more expensive ones i tried.
  14. hi peeps, broke my ankle about 7 weeks ago anyway this being the best time for pigeon shooting looking for a bit of advice for shooting as constant standing and sitting arn't an option as it'd do damage to a healing joint. use a high seat normally but shooting sitting down isn't easy.
