  1. Thanks for the reply's chaps. Sadly he is still after one but I am winning the war and getting him to at least consider an alternative cheaper model. In my favour is the apparent diabolical wifi connection that Alienware pc's suffer from. Heard its not great even right next to the router. So he is a bit concerned about that flaw.
  2. http://www.dell.com/uk/p/alienware-aurora-r4/pd?ST=alienware%20aurora&dgc=ST&cid=41141&lid=1069630&acd=239715600820560 Thats the link I think, when I chose all the options he wanted, ie the most expensive, it came in at £2700.
  3. My son wants one of these computers, scarey looking things by the way lots of lights and stealth black. But at £2700 I think its a tad stout, especially as it appears to be owned by DELL, Its a games computer if I am reading things right but still does all the things a PC should, My question is how much would it cost roughly to have one made privately? Same spec obviously without the scarey case.

    man flu

echinacea is more of a placebo than a remedy it is also linked to intestine problems such IBS and even bowel cancer.
  5. Glad I read this, I have been looking at a Isuzu trooper at a local garage thats up for sale. I'll proceed with caution. Had a similar experience with a Pajero. If I had joined POCUK before I bought it I wouldnt have wasted my money. Reading that forum is like a horror story, there is not one instance on there where someone has had a trouble free day with one.No idea why they still have them.
  6. Yep its all gone a bit mamby pamby. I think rustins still make a caustic/acid based stripper though probably not for much longer. Nitromors varnish stripper was the the biz but like HP sauce is pretty useless now.
  7. As most paint products are going waterbased you will probably find this new nitromors strips water based gloss and varnish like the old one did with oil based products.
  8. I'm sure there is a stargate in a field just off the M6 not far from the M1 junction, certainly looks like one, big round circle with what looks like markings round it.
  9. According to most critics the opening scene of the film is epic but after that it becomes a bit of a bloater.

Easy to keep but if your coop is going to be a permenant fixture then you might want to think about letting them out for a ramble, ie fence a larger area off with the coop inside if you have the space, but if your not about all day they are at risk from fox. I let mine out into the garden but its fenced all round so they just have the garden roam about in. I open the coop just before I go to work, so they are free to come and go as they please, but the missus is in all day so she keeps an eye on them.

Thanks from me on this subject too, my 4S is always going wonky with the sound, went into the Apple Store and asked in there but came out with a headache and still none the wiser.

I have Gold Lines which like Orpingtons are an ideal "starter" breed,,good layers about 300 a year and easy to keep, was going to move on to posher breeds but quite happy with the goldlines, Dont be tempted to buy a ready made coop and house online especially from a company thats named after a large river, a determined fox or even cat could be inside in no time, they look good in the pics but once you have assembled it, you will see what I mean. Build one yourself but if possible make it portable as chooks will reduce your grass to stuble in no time, and then they will be prone to bacteria and parasites from the bare dirt. You just pick it up and move it to a new spot so the old area can recover, thats what I do anyway, bit of a pain fox proofing it in its new position each time but thats the joys of chook keeping.
  13. Not a lot on telly worth watching but I am guilty of watching and laughing at The Big Bang Theory, why? I have no idea!.
  14. If you happen to be pretty good with an American accent it works perfectly. Took me a while to get it to tell jokes, but it still dont do knock knock jokes no matter how hard I try
  15. I remember getting a 16k memory cart for my VIC20 for christmas. Totally pointless!!
  16. Cheers for that. Installed it and just had a quick go. Almost an exact copy. Brilliant stuff. Now just have to suss what the keys do. A seems to fire (most important)
  17. My dad was an engineer and he used to get me ballraces from work. They where a bit tricky to get to stay on the cart but once on you used fly down a hill, a lot faster than a cart fitted with pram wheels and they held the road really well too. Only downside was you where not very far off the ground as the ballraces where only 4" in diameter.
  18. I had a VIC20 a massive 3.5k of RAM came with a game called Green Meanies. Then got a BBC model B micro which in those days was the dogs danglies. I remember a game I had on it called FRAK with a yo yo flinging caveman used to love that game. Never done any homework on the computer which is what my parents got it for in the first place. Also loved the Elite game as well. Shame its not available now. Knocks the spots off anything I've played on my lads XBOX.
  19. No idea what mine is. Got bored waiting for the site to load.
  20. When I was in my 20's I could neck 10 pints on a Friday night get blindingly drunk, wake up with the mother of all hangovers and be brand new by 1 pm and back on it by 7pm. Now in my 40's a hangover lasts 2 days and I generally feel ****. Still enjoy a glass of beer on a Friday but I know my limit now and what with being a one man band haulage company I don't give it large anymore. And there is nothing worse than walking into your local on a Saturday afternoon after the night before and being told by the bar keep "You have some front showing your face in here today" and no memory of why she is saying that.
  21. Prefer it in its original form.
  22. Technically speaking Upminster is not officially Essex. Its inside the M25 so comes under Greater London. Been looking into this The only way is Essex programme glad I've never watched it. Essex has a bad enough reputation anyway and this programme dosn't have that many redeeming qualities. Infact it looks a complete shile of pite.
  23. Like a beer, smoke, drive a van all day, eat whatever I can get be it KFC or something from the garage so no not in the slightest bit fit. I do have a mountain bike that I sometimes jump on when the urge takes me but usually need a portable defibrilator by the time I've reached the end of the road.
  24. In the Crumpled Horn in Upminster here in sunny Essex and ther where 4 lads in there around 18-20 in age and they looked a right bunch of *****. They where all I would say Bermuda Sunset in colour, had thier shirt collars tucked in. Skinny jeans on and bloddy ugg boots on thier feet. Mate told me they where trying to look like someone called Joey Essex, never heard of him to be honest. They had lip gloss on as well. I have googled this Joey Essex chap and he also looks a right **** Seriously what is going on. Good job they were not in my local as they wouldn't have got out without the assistance of the police and an ambulance crew.
  25. If my memory serves correct the 27 was fitted with a leather piston washer which you may have diffilculty getting hold of if the one in the gun has degraded. A parachute washer will be an adequate replacement but you will lose several mm from the spring stroke.
