    .243 ammo

Getting rid of the 243, I have a selection consisting of 33 100g federal power shock, 20 100g ppu sp, 8 80g Winchester super X and 3 100 g Norma sp. Pick up only and must have relevant fac conditions. £30.00. located West Wales.
  4. I use both regularly, 1 for night vision and 1 with a day scope. In practical use (foxing or crows at realistic ranges) no difference, both can hit and dispatch equally well, nothing In it for accuracy noise or recoil, bullet drop for practical use from either is within what I need. I reload for both so ammo selection isn't an issue, I think it comes down to whatever calibre you use it will do the job it was built for, if you learn to place that particular bullet accurately?
  5. Yep, shot plenty down here with op scars and stitches, not unusual to find six in a small area all looking very lost. Had one a few months back wearing a collar!
  6. Wildcat evo on my t3 .204, quiet, light and easy to strip if you feel the need to.

  8. Yep, 22-250 is certainly a fine foxing round, as is the 223, 222 and a whole load of other calibres and will get the job done. I would guess 223 and 22-250 Being the most popular choice of fox dispatcher, but have never understood under what circumstanes one will kill a fox and the other wouldn't? I use 223, 204 or 243 for fox depending how i feel when i open the cabinet which one i take and can honestly say i've never been on a fox and wished I'd picked one of the others because this one ain' up to it! If YOU want a 22-250 then go for it, learn how it shoots and enjoy. Oh yeah, assume every bullet you fire regardless of calibre will pass through your target, if it doesn't but kills the fox, great, if it does pass through and kills the fox, great job done.
  9. Never seen one here myself but have heard reports of deer being spotted in Pembrokeshire, I'm out foxing a few times a week with the thermal and had no deer sightings in the same area?
