  4. If anyone is interested in signing this petition the RNLI would be very grateful. The link is at the end of the message. For info/action. Please forward to anyone you think might help by signing the petition. The background: RADIOS BILL MAY SCUPPER RNLI LIFEBOAT crews fear being scuppered by crippling new charges for using their radios from Ofcom, the communications regulator. The RNLI could see the price of using its VHF emergency frequencies rise to £250,000 under plans to charge the full commercial rate. The charity, which saves hundreds of lives every year currently pays an annual £48,000 at a discounted rate of 50 per cent. It relies on donations and fears the move will have a disastrous impact on fundraising. Peter Bradley, RNLI operations staff officer, said: 'It's a lot of money when you think in terms of lifeboat days and little old ladies collecting pound coins.' 'We could buy several inshore lifeboats for the same amount.' 'The Government rely on us to provide this search-and-rescue service, at a cost of £124 million a year, but they want to charge us for doing it!' Ofcom has set out plans to bring 'market forces' into maritime and civil aviation communications in a policy it calls Administered Incentive Pricing. £250,000 represents an awful lot of charity collections, even more so in the current economic climate so, if like me you feel strongly enough about this, please sign the petition below. http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/RNLI-RF-licences/ Petition to: Protect the RNLI from paying licence fees for using Maritime radio frequencies. | Number10.gov.uk

Have you got a picture of this please & is it for left or right handed use ?
  7. No, you read Russels correctly Dan. Russel was using Winny subs, -9" @ 100 when zeroed at 50. Nick was using Eley subs (which I use) -7" @ 100 when zeroed at 50. In the baikal I shot the Eleys were going to -9" @ 100 when zeroed at 50. Hmm I've got both Winny subs and Eley subs today, I've a feeling they could be hurtling through a Sako barrel later on if it stays calm. You read it correctly , the red line is the bullet trajectory, the other coloured lines refer to the M.A.P. - Multiple Aims Points in my new scope - http://www.hawkeoptics.com/riflescopes/endurancemap.htm Had this scope for 5 weeks now, so far not had any problems with it & very pleased with it. Think I was the first person to own one in the U.K. . Let us know how you get on with the Eley subs please John.

  9. Here's a couple I've just done with the software mentioned in my previous post :- Zeroed at 50 yards for Winchester sub sonics And one for 60 yards :-
  10. You can get your own free ballistics software here - http://www.hawkeoptics.com/brc/index.htm
  11. I always use Beta puppy food (from Purina) - never had any problems with it. (If you are over feeding then that can give them the ****s ?)
  12. Carry on posting in here NTTF - electric collars used correctly are a useful training aid / method of correction - or what ever anyone wants to call it. I've got 4 dogs & have only ever used the collar on one dog - it was on a low setting - just enough to get his attention and only had to use it a few times. Some dogs are too headstrong & I agree what you posted earlier - they must be corrected straight away - which is difficult when they are 20 yards away & impossible at over 50 yards away - by the time you get to them they would not know what they are being punished for. The collar I use has got a vibrate on it to get the dogs attention - I've seen others that make a beep, and usually this is enough to get the dogs attention without having to give them a mild shock.
  13. I've just got my new Hawke Endurance MAP 8 series model no. - HK3404 today - http://www.hawkeoptics.com/riflescopes/endurancemap.htm Now fitted to my Ruger 77/22 but won't be able to test it until the weekend - have got it so it clears the barrel by @ 1mm.
  14. My pups were 12 weeks old on Sunday - never had lactol. Started them on soaked food at 4 weeks old while still on their mothers milk, the following week still on soaked food & only with their mother at night time & at 6 weeks old the pups were on their own, so they have been on solid food since they were 6 weeks old. 4 pups went to their new homes at 8 weeks old, just the bitch pup left which I kept. Tried her on soaked food at first, but she prefers it dry - so she has been on dry food only for the last 4 - 5 weeks. Feeding her Beta puppy food & she's on @ 250g a day. She has half of the food @ 7:30 (no one to feed her mid-day), then the rest split into 2 more meals @ 5:00pm & 9:00pm.
  15. I use the Winchester subs in my Ruger 77/22. Have tried CCI but found I was getting too many crack offs. Have also tried RWS - very quiet but found them to be a fair bit less powerful - would say ok to use if most of your shooting is @ 40 yds.
