Hi guys so I have my Springer bitch for sale. She’s well bred and what I would call ‘nearly’ part trained. She has: Sit and stay Stop to whistle Hunts nicely Retrieves and delivers nicely Lefts and rights Memories Just started blinds Not seen game yet. Reason for sale is that she has a high tail set when not hunting and this’ll go against us in trials. Also our kennels have quite a lot of footfall and motocross traffic from the neighbours going past and she barks and runs up and down and sets everyone else off - she would be fine in a garden with kennels where she doesn’t have this irritation. She’s extremely energetic and although she soaks up training she isn’t for the inexperienced (unless you’ve got a good trainer to help you) I adore this dog so only the best home is good enough. £1800 to PW members only. He’s going to be trained for personal protection and we’re hoping to do some working trials with him, a friend of mine used to train dogs for the police and she’s been extremely helpful so far. They also go to puppy classes which we’ve never done with the gundogs before but as you say with this breed it’s Uber important to socialise them well 😊 We’re getting them out and about as much as we can - it’s very odd who he seems to take exception to, 9/10 people he’s fine with and really sociable after a few minutes but for no apparent reason he’ll decide he doesn’t like the odd person, even good friends of ours! I do distract him with a ‘watch me’ command rewarding eye contact with a treat if I see the tell tale signs coming on but in all honesty he’s improving in leaps and bounds so I’m not too concerned, I just know I can’t be complacent with him around people he doesn’t know.

Chica is extremely sociable with people but Pablo not so much - he’s fine if they ignore him, he’ll go and say hello of his own accord - if they try and force it or bend over us he will bark and warn them off. Such was the position we found ourselves in when we took them to a beer garden locally (as their jabs finally allowed it) and despite Pablo having a wide red lead that said CAUTION on it 🙄It seemed as if people found it a challenge and tended to try and be friends with him even though I told them to bog off 🤬 Drunk people (who are used to dogs and great dog people don’t you know because they have a Cockerpoo at home) and Malinois pups don’t necessarily mix. A lesson learnt - can’t believe people can be so sozzled at 7.30 on a Tuesday night, haven’t they got jobs to do at home? Think I may have offended a few locals 😂 I do however teach a ‘watch me’ command rewarded with a treat with these guys when they maintained eye contact for a good length of time and I found this invaluable when deployed as people were walking past or entering the (spacious) beer garden. All in all I was pleased with him ❤️ In hindsight I should have warned them off before they even got that close so I’ll remember that next time ! ’Get two Malinois pups she said. It’ll be okay, we have cockers, Springers and a Labrador at home she said. We’re dog people she said’ 😂😂😂

Pablo now is a verrry handsome chap but Chica’s ears have decided to drop, she looks like Dobbie the House Elf 😂

Hahaha!! Got two now! They’re 10% driving me nuts and 90% amazing - they’re certainly not what I thought they would be like, I wasn’t prepared for how loyal they would be at this age already - they don’t bark at other people but after the initial wariness pretty much ignore them. Pablo’s ears are up now too 😍😍

We’re just in the process of building a block of six kennels, all galv for a grand total of £2700 (not including the boxes inside) If you can buy the materials and know somebody handy with a welder (hubby’s putting ours together and making the dog boxes) it can be done much cheaper 🤔 We already had the concrete pad, mind... plus there’s a chap near us that does ‘seconds’ materials but there’s nothing wrong with them as far as making kennels are concerned! Also clad (cladded?) all the way around the back and sides
