  1. The press has an aluminium frame it’s worn around the RAM, all the linkage is made of steel and has not been a problem it’s only the main frame of the press that’s aluminium I suspect yours might be the cast steel one, I think my Press was a cheap get you started press i’ve had it for quite a few years But it has quite a lot of play around the Ram.
  2. Yes I’ve been looking at RCBS. anybody using a coax are they just the fashion or are they worth having
  3. Evening all my reloading Press is just about worn out it’s one of the aluminium framed Lee Single stage Press i’ve had it for quite a few years and it’s served me well, so it’s time for a new Press i’ve had a look online and there are loads of presses it’s a bit of a minefield, I think I’m going to stay with a single stage press Any advice And recommendations would be appreciated regards sf1
  4. It might be worth giving BASC a call they had a list of vets that would do it. Or maybe a gun dog kennel that’s local to you may be able to point you in the right direction, it’s not easy to find a vet that will do it these days.not wanting to teach you how to suck eggs but it might be worth considering getting a Jew claws removed as well I always have them removed on my spaniel’s regards sf1
  5. Hi I have used the Emtech noisebreakers for about 15 years three pairs and found them very good I’ve just recently two months ago upgraded to some vario hearables the electronic ones and use them sometimes eight hours a day and find them really comfortable I would definitely buy them again, I also have a pair of Peltor sportac I found them nice to wear in the winter but make my ears sweat in the summer, in my humble opinion I don’t think you can beat the digital ones I like to be able to hear what’s going on properly around me although the noise breakers are good the sound can be a little muffled I think vario do passive ones that you can upgrade to digital at a later date if you want maybe something to consider, can’t really comment on the other makes as I’ve never used them but suspect they would be just as good maybe, hope this helps regards sf1
  6. Evening all, i’ve been doing the same thermal for spotting and a pard 007 on The rifle I find it’s a good combination, I’m always thinking about identification sometimes with the thermal it’s a little difficult to identify what you’re looking at unless its side on but the more I use the thermal the better I seem to be at identifying things maybe it’s just getting used to the way it works definitely a game changer for me though use it for everything now, I can see where you’re coming from about a thermal scope there’s been times when I thought a thermal scope would be nice, I think I’m gonna wait for awhile for them to get a little bit better And a lot cheaper😂 regards sf1
  7. I’ve probably shot more foxes using a piece of polystyrene on a wet truck windscreen, also use electric and various mouth calls, I never rule anything out. regards Sf1

  10. Hi I read the same around 7 1/2 pounds, interestingly the Sporter is not much more, I looked at a silver pigeon 3-game about two weeks ago Country why guns in West mauling and quite liked it apart from it being right-handed. But I’m keeping an open mind at the moment I’d like something around 7 1/2 pounds I think nicely balanced and left-handed of course i’m thinking about taking a trip to Oxford Guns to have a look what they have and maybe get something fitted as well

  20. Hi I’ve been looking at getting some electric ones i’m in a similar situation to yourself I’ve been using the Emtec ones which I find very good but a bit muffled so decided I’m going to get a pair of electric ones, i’ve been doing a bit of research on these and the cens do you seem to be quite good and have been going for quite a few years now but apparently There customer service isn’t that good which kind of rules them out for me, there doesn’t seem to be much between The custom fit guards and the vario’s at the moment I’m thinking the vario’s because of the Basc discount, haven’t done anything about this at the moment because of the lockdown I think when the restrictions are lifted I will get some sorted
