Old car back tomorrow as it was the crank case that was cracked after thurther inspection!!!! ****** ey!!

Just taken the disco back to where I bought her and was told the timing belt has just been done along with the crankshaft seal!!! He thinks they may have nipped the seal so all been well they are gonna sort that ASAP along with the water pump that's just gone wrong!!!

Should have chinned him!!!!!!!!! And broke his leg!!!!

Pop star wages lol!!! It's taken a huge drop over the few years.. I will get her in as soon as and hope it serves me well for a shooting truck.. Thanks for all the advice on here guys.. I have been quoted between £100-£700 to fix the leak, I will carry oil in the back and hope it motors on till I get home

I didn't !! Only had it a few days now and they said it was serviced before I took it so they may have over filled!! I will check tomorrow to see if its moved

Well it seem to look loads on the drive and where ever I stop but when I checked the dipstick this morning it was still full!!! How much do I need to lose before I notice the loss?

Can it still be driven for the time being?? Have 2 weeks left before I go back to the Middle East so don't really have the time to get her in?

It's a p reg 300tdi I had the lump cleaned today and they said its coming from the crank shaft seal and will be a fortune to fix!! He said I would need a new cam belt kit and the seal!! The plus labour!! Nothing about a clutch kit though..

Just bought a Land Rover disco with 80 k on the clock, though I was on a winner as it has no rust and low mileage however It leaks like a good one!!! Anyone know if its ok to drive with oil coming from the crank shaft seal??

You need a stubby can on that R1 mate and a good track day to get the chicken lines worn in

I have had my disco for a few days now and noticed a few good patches of oil on the drive each time after use!!! I had in to a local garage this morn and paid £30 for the engine to be cleaned!!!! They said it looks like the crank shaft seal is goosed!!! So I have a few questions about this 1. Is this end ex for the landy 2. Can it still be driven with a watchful eye on the oil level 3. Will it knacker my cam belt !!

I wear 5.11 when away at work and have found you defo need a size bigger as I thought they where small. They are good though and seem to make something for all weathers. There are loads of similar makes that are good though.. Have a look at uk tactical or solo international

I have been up on this patch a few times now and each time I have managed a few pigeon. Its only around 7 acres of rough but it's surrounded by loads of land. The owner Sam is very polite and helpful and has put me intouch with one of the local farmers that has a lot of land around that area but sadly he already has a couple of guys on his patch, but have been invited over for a bru so fingers crossed there may still be some hope..
