  1. 3 dogs, 1 a few weeks ago and 2 tonight. All with Tikka .243 under lamp amber and green filters. Hornady 75gr SST. TOTAL 97
  2. Nice one. Will put a line on this week.
  3. "I wouldn't say indy was well behaved. She did flush a couple of pheasants on the territories before the beaters were in place " Ha ha, I remember the words you spoke at the timeπŸ˜‚ I think Indy could smell the pork pie I had hidden in my pocket. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
  4. I've not looked at myself to be honest as been a little busy in work. But your probably right. Thanks
  5. Yeah, fog has hampered things a little. Two foxes bolted out from the cover on our shoot a few weeks back. Managed to get one with paul223 and Ed during the following week. However seen the other during last Saturdays drive. As quoted, you can't shoot in house. I like that one. Haha. Good luck.
  6. Nice write up there SABS. A good bit of reading. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and really good bit of lunch by you and TGL. It was a bit of a heavy wet start and guess no one wanted to get camera out to prove it. Some great pictures of our great little shoot. Glad it went well and all enjoyed. It was a pleasure standing in with help from Steve and a few others. πŸ‘
  7. I like all the potato talk, not tried them only the odd pinapple or pumpkin. I have been the proud owner of the stainless. 223 Howa for about 4 years. It's reliable and accurate. I've taken plenty of foxes through the ear hole at up to 250 meters. My profile picture was a crow at 191 meters hanging out the back of my L 200. The only thing I could say bad is possibly a bit heavy? With the sonic 45 Mod on, but I'm lucky where I have a lot of land I can drive around on, so an issue if on a bit of a hike. No desire to change, however I'm just about to get myself a .243 and looking at T3 or X Bolt. Probably T3. That's only due to wanting something different. It's a thumbs up from me. Good look.
  8. Very interesting read. I am currently researching this very thing as Im just about to put a.243 on my tickey. Most I've read about in general is favouring T3. Which is where I was gravitating to. Cheers.
  9. Guys. A mate of mine has asked do I know a good gunsmith to look at his shot gun or possible parts? I've not yet search around for him, just thought to post on here if anyone knows of anything. Details. Lewis of Liverpool hammer action shot gun. There is movement in the hinge on the barrels and a piece which ejects cartridge is missing. Thanks
  10. Nice write up there Mr K. Looks like you all had a cracking day. I'm looking forward to our lot starting, I've not been on the shotgun for a while.πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
