  1. Elm holds onto water and readily soaks it up, even when dead. It needs to be well seasoned after splitting and then kept dry. If left in the round it will not dry. Once dry it is very good firewood.
  2. Big difference in price and quality between 135 and 550. guess if you are asking the question it is not for professional use. For home use the 435 is more than enough of a saw.
  3. Police Scotland. I don't have it in front of ma as I left it at the office but it definitely says I do not send in the completed forms as the feo will collect at visit.
  4. That was the way I understood it but, It says I have to send this letter to my doc and pay the relevant fee plus "air weapon lisence" fee if required. The feo will contact me for renewal visit and collect renewal form/air weapon grant form during visit.
  5. When you say the police contact the doc does that mean I do not have to forward the letter to the doc as instructed? The renewal letter says I have to do this part for them. I can scan and forward what I received if it helps.
  6. Just a standard renewal. Only been to the doctor twice in memory. Both times about my knees. Thought someone would have had feedback from basc more recently but apppears not. Will get into basc in the next few days to see what they are saying just now.
  7. I received my renewal letter today. It says I have to forward an enclosed letter to my doctor myself and then states; "It must be noted that your GP may charge for this service. This fee would be borne by you as the applicant in all cases". Looking at my doctor surgery charges it says there is a £20 charge for shotgun renewal. Last thing I have heard is BASC say to refuse to pay the fees, is this still the case as the letter says; "It must be noted that the Firearms Enquiry Officer will not attend and undertake the enquiry until this letter has been provided to your GP and a response received......." I have not sent anything yet but just asking to pre-empt anything.

Unfortunately for r argument both UEFA and FIFA governing bodies of the sport have confirmed it is still the same club http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/13215104.FIFA_step_into_new_row_over_Rangers__old_or_new_club__status/
  9. I am still to this day annoyed that when I visited Yosemite we did not spend more time. We arrived when it was dark and left early the next afternoon. Unfortunately most of the people I was there with were just interested in getting drunk in as many different place as possible and couldn't wait to get back to a built up area with more selection of pubs.
  10. It would have been on nhs if on front teeth. The nhs are very particular in what they will pay for. Even if it is free to the patient the dentist obviously still gets paid by the nhs so you pay for it in a way. I'm sure the unsure charges are available online which shows what the patient pays and what the dentist gets paid by nhs. Some of it is crazy, an nhs dentist can give instructions on how to brush properl during a check up and for this they can claim to the nhs and get paid more
  11. I'll be honest, my other half is a dentist. She spent 4 years at university doing a medical based course then did a further 4 years as a postgraduate. Then there is a year vocational training whee the earnings are good but not that great. It is not easy to get onto the course and the studying is hard. It was hard for me too as whilst she was studying I had to pay all for everything. I wish she was earning £368,168.00 at most before paying insurance, accountant and memberships it would be 20% of that. If a practice owner with several associates and not offering NHS £368,168.00 would not be rediculous as they usually take in the region of 50% of their associates fees.
  12. Dentisting and mechanicing is a little bit different is it not. I would have a go at fixing most friends cars but I would not have a go at fixing a friends teeth.
  13. I have to agree with this, without seeing it, the price you have been given is good, if anything on the cheap side, remember he has to cover buying equipment, maintenance, personnel, fuel, transport, disposal of what is removed, insurance, tax, time spent going to price jobs for people where he doses not get the job and several other expenses I have probably forgot about.

    Tropical fish

I never had any success with guppies. Don't know if it is true but local fish shop said it is because they are often inbred to get the colours people want and that is why they die so fast.
  15. The problem is in England if it is found suffering, the deer cannot be shot to end its suffering without the permission of the landowner. In Scotland you can without landowners permission if it is to end suffering.
  16. Get in contact with the scent hound association. They will be more than willing to come out with one of their deer trained do dogs and their is no fee. For them it is training their dogs. The number I have for them is 0800 6890857 they will advise and from experience they will find it dead or alive.
  17. Time it takes for the glow plug light to go out is the time it takes to put belt on. So get in, ignition on, belt on, start engine, go.

  23. Little or no signal for all networks? If there is a network which has a signal maybe worth buying a cheap pay as you go phone for the time you need it. Can get them for less than a tenner.
