    It's a football thing!
  2. ******. Bank holiday pay? All the best and sleep well.
  3. Good luck I found , repeating every email, every day irritated them to act.
  4. LG, good luck for Monday, as many have said put me down for £20. John. Does your son understand how much support he has from people on here. John.
  5. After asking, you would be more likely to look if something wasn't just right and the brown cocker went to a house of dog! But all the whys still end up as coincidence . Bet you feel good though!! John.
  6. Does he growl when off the lead when other dogs appear?
  7. Keep smiling, write it all down. If she wants to waste hundreds on solicitors letters that's up to her! Your thread title has it all. She will be your neighbour and could be for years. Time for a charm offensive ,always play for the higher moral ground!! I've got muscles from smiling that could lift weights but it stopped problems from escalating, though in my head the stream of invectives can be quite Tarantino. Good luck. John.
  8. I've used drilling and phosphate covering with black bags to stop sprouting branches and copper nails. I've been given conflicting advice on copper nails though it did seem to be the final ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nail in the coffin. John.
  9. West wales swallow's are arriving en masse 5/4/16. Early and in numbers ! John
  10. It looks like a sheep skull and it doesn't look like it's been dead for that long. Never seen one chewed like that . Not sure why Bigbob doesn't think they have top teeth ! All mine do. They do have a big gap between front teeth and molars. Perhaps a late lamb from last year! Or a very big lighter!! John.
  11. Stop listening to drunks who talk tosh late at night ! If you have to listen ,teach yourself to remove all rubbish from your cab including messages!

    9 Years!!!

Returned to old hobbies, or just got more time? John.
  13. Quads riders cause that kind of crush but I think in this winter tracks would be obvious. Mass hysteria, big cats!! Most likely dogs. Once a flock gets nervous of a dog they recognise they get even more twitchy and at an amazing distance can recognise it. It still sounds like a very rare and unusual event .
  14. Myxy is a problem with warrens and what ever anyone thinks even a tame rabbit will run and hide unless you feed by hand ,but turn up with a dog and they soon run! It'll be fantastic . How many rabbits will you be getting? Not sure of the cost of the vaccine but if you get the number someone who shows rabbits you should be able to get them at not much cost as long as there not anti's! Good luck.
  15. I bet he was only just calming down. Sadly they never last long enough, but they do have a way of getting the best out of us. Will you be replacing him with another springer or have Vizlas captured you. John.
  16. To everyone who says the bear fight was realistic, how come he's alive when the grizzly went for him twice. Slow dull and with large gapping holes in it. Though somehow I enjoyed it. John.
  17. Our smallholdings in 10 acres of mixed wood and after all the rain and gales the ground is covered with both mouth sized and crocodile sized mouth pieces and she's just found how enjoyable they are. It's certainly self employment and by her mincey gait , speed waggle, and determined walk away I'm having a hard one to balance the stern "down" which works if used before she holds it and repetitive recall which she begrudgingly responds to. My quandary is I know I'm bickering and concerned she'll start to ignore. I even considered a vets soft muzzle but for how long we had ten oaks fall just outside the house and that is a lot of dog bounty. She's an 17 month ESS. Any ideas?
  18. The unanswerable question is at what point in cost would you say NO and know that it would mean putting the dog down. £2500 for a broken elbow, not exactly a life threatening injury but if you don't have the cash. Then there's food poisoning a drip and 24 hour care for a week and you would know about the bill. I have an account with £50 a month going in not sure when I'll stop , all vets bills come out of this and the idea being when I need to get another dog the money's there but if that pans out as old dogs get frail and cost there might not be any left. I'm not sure if the vets do more if insured or try harder they certainly charge me. If I was loaded I wouldn't and if I was slightly better of than I am now I would. There now that's clear. John.
  19. Give it two weeks. You can still pee properly? John.
  20. We installed UFH, and to sitsinhedges it's been brilliant and very cost effective,we keep a small farm warm with the same fuel it took to run an aga and hot water mind you the insulation cost! Getting the flow for heating coefficients right takes skill. Best bet would be a service! When was it last serviced. Changing the actuators if you know how would be sensible. Good luck.
  21. Welsh Andy, looked after my wife's uncle at the end of his life he had it in his mid 40's and was 90 when he died after a fantastic life . Sounds like you've already got your head screwed on for the journey ahead. Good luck. John.
  22. Pretty sure he'd be quite happy with such a short time after diagnosis. Hope he wasn't too unwell before. I played space invaders with him in the early 80's and lived round the corner from him. Never tried to befriend him but he'd always say hi , though he'd take the **** he'd always take it too. John.
