Well that sums it up.
Wonder if BASC will do the right thing and actually fight it accordingly.
I would have thought its certainly in there interest although they seem very reluctant to commit the so called fighting fund or as it has been called redundancy fund.

Well that puts them just over 8 to a gramm 5 shot is 10/11 to gram so they come out pretty much the weight of standard steel.
All we need is the wads they use available in various calibers and were good to go.
Doubt we'll get them though.

Not a deer.
Driving home one night a few years ago felt a massive thump at the front of my pickup. Stopped to find a huge badger wedged between the front near side wheel and inner wing it took ages in the dark to get it out finally managed to do it with a hide pole, blood and guts everywhere.

Lots of info on previous posts.
I use rattle can grey primer and matt white emulsion. Works for me.
Top tip spray the top of your cradles white easier to find if the decoys come off in the crops. 👍

Cynics would say it was because BASC seeking to defend commercial big bag shooting where the birds are little more than feather bearing clay pigeons made a massive investment in the then British Game Alliance.
This BGA being an attempt to defend big bag days on the basis that they were "harvesting" game for the food chain. Which as such as Waitrose decided not to sell game shot with lead caused an problem. Also ditto if exporting to the EU post-Brexit.
If the game couldn't be sold as supermarkets didn't want lead shot birds and the bag was so excessive that it could never all be given to beaters, pickers-up and guns then what to do? Dump it? That was then the source of lurid pictures of piles of birds being ploughed in to ditches.
So who benefits ("cui bono" as the Romans said) is the answer. Who benefits is the big bag commercial shoots who to deflect criticism that the birds were "harvested" and not just being used as feather bearing clay pigeons led to the BGA an that, the BGA, led to the lead ban proposal.
For nowhere does this benefit the casual pigeon shooter protecting crops nor the small family or syndicate shoot were all the game is distributed between beaters, pickers-up and guns with never any surplus left over. And it certainly doesn't benefit the person shooting squirrels or carrion with lead shot.
Well said but I'm pretty sure basc and the rest of them already know what's coming, we certainly do. The point of damage limitation has long past its just a matter of when not how any longer.

There was a program a while back about a Bulgarian small holder.
Came to England claimed various benefits whilst driving round in a van everyday collecting and selling scrap.
Then returned home to collect his pregnant wife to have the baby here followed by further claims for child benefits.
Has now returned home with over £40000 and bought more land and still receives various benefits.

2.2kg powder £45 ——————— Really that’s a lot of powder for 500 .410 but at that price buy as much as you can afford.
Definitely where are you getting powder at that price ???.

Thankyou! I put up a post about a .410 pump and was put off a bit by the lead ban,
but with a possible 5 year transition…..if I stock up on ammo, I could have 5 years worth of fun??
im a glass half full kinda guy, so just needed it explaining in a proper simple way.
As said if you want one just get one.
Plenty of decent second hand ones out there.

I don't know the answer to this from personal experience but my friend who runs a big shooting syndicate in the West Country has told me they can't sell their shot pheasants anymore because they don't have some sort of meat licence . The implication being its not worth the expense of getting one
Perhaps someone with more experience with these matters can elaborate
You have to register as a primary food producer with your local council.

You could try gamebore 7.5 (2.5 mm) 28gram steel clay cartridges work fine decoying at sensible distances. There about the cheapest option for 12 gauge.

The problem with ditchman is that he always beats around the bush and doesn’t tell you what he really thinks.
Possibly because his next holiday will be a very long one. 😊

Isuzu dmax.
Under 2 ton.
Doesn't mark its territory.
32 to 35 to the gallon.
Comfortable ride.
Off road really good.
Loads of space
Utterly reliable.
Only downside avoid short journeys the dpf doesn't like them.
Had mine 7 years from new just a pair of wiper blades replaced.
And a new set of tyres.

Pretty sure they know who.
Doing anything about it is a different matter.

I understand, have a look at this page.
Doubt they would be any good, clumsy, heavy and expensive .
With the weight on 4 corners on soil (especially wet) you'd never get it secure and comfortable.
Nothing beats a bucket seat which also has storage.

There are members of this forum who put their negative thoughts and ideas into print who will do more harm to shooting than those who are against it but remain silent.
Best reply I've read on this matter.

Hey, have you try asking Jason94sport about the Churchill cartridges he has to part out with? If not i will advise you to ask him because the last time i spoke with him, it's still available and he wants to let it go for a very affordable offer. You can email him for a fast response. Dawndawson220@outlook.com. Have a nice day.

20 Gauge homeloads
in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Posted
Hi.
I load 20 gauge steel with maxam ssb150 although very little left now. i read on the net csbo was a similar powder but there's no data I've seen for it.
There is some data for 410 steel using it so maybe someone has got some tested 20 gauge loads.
Good luck.
