  2. Thanks for all your replies guys
  3. Thanks for all your replies. Snow white, is it a big job to cut through and weld back on? Would probably need to cut a section out of the middle and weld the two halfs together so he can keep the two locks? Thanks for all your replies. 4. Thanks guys. He cant use the loft as he has no access to it and is very limited on a suitable site. Really is just the one small space he has to utilise. Does anyone have experience of having a made to measure cabinet built? Thanks guys. He cant use the loft as he has no access to it and is very limited on a suitable site. 5. Guys, Asking on behalf of a friend. He is looking to apply for SGC and FAC but has an issue of where to fix his gun cabinet. He only has one suitable option but that is height restricted. In short, he's looking to buy a cabinet exactly 1 meter tall. Any shorter and he can't fit his rifle in, so a breakdown cabinet is no use, any longer and it won't fit into the space. Brattonsound are not doing made to measure cabinets just now as they are so busy. Any other company making cabinets to a specific size? Or is it possible to cut down a normal size cabinet and reweld to an exact size? He literally has no other place to site a cabinet but does have space for a small safe for bolt and ammo etc. As always, thanks for your help.
  6. Belly47 - will have a look tomorrow after work for you and if they still have them will get in touch with you.
  7. Am happy to go into store and buy a few to post off to folk if they're happy to cover postage and on the understanding that any issues with their cams they can return them to their own local store for refund or fixing?
  8. When i got my first one i had emailed the head office asking their availability local to me and to be fair they replied within a couple of days detailing 3 stores near to me stocking them.
  9. Just a heads up. Local Aldi (Paisley) has reduced its trail cams down to 39.99. Good bit of kits. Other stores may be following suit. ...
  10. Thanks LS. Can you recommend any specific locations for a family holiday? Always fancied Croatia but if I get this holiday wrong and the wife and kids don't like it, that will be the end of my family holiday organising future.
  11. Thats great thanks. Some good information there. Looking at Croatia too now. Anybody got any recommendations?
  12. Guys, can anyone recommend a good location for a two week foreign holiday staying in a large house/villa etc? Fed up with the usual package holidays to Spain etc and looking for a house that can take 8, but close enough to amenities and entertainment to keep 4 kids happy too. A pool and nearby beach would be nice too. Was thinking South of France or even somewhere a bit different. Ive been tasked to look into this by the missus and thought the Pigeonwatch massive may have some thoughts.
  13. I emailed Aldi direct a month or so ago and got a response the next day listing 3 stores local to me (Glasgow) who had them in stock but had stopped displaying them. Maybe worth emailing them asking if any store local to you has them? Good bits of kit.
  14. Thinking of buying a new Kia Carens as a large family car. Does anybody have any experience of driving the new model or know of any problems etc? Thanks for any help.

    Fostering

Am asking this question on behalf of a friend and grateful for any info I can pass onto him. He and his wife are looking into fostering children through the local Council. He has firearms in his house through having a FAC and SGC. Would this be a hindrance or even a consideration for the social workers? Thanks again.
  16. Now sold. Thanks to all interested parties.
  17. Cluson is the only company I use for batteries, lights etc. Always had fantastic service and their products are the most reliable I've ever used without doubt. I recently contacted them for a spare battery charger as I had mislaid mine and one arrived two days later, free of charge.
  18. Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. Am near Glasgow, ideally would like to see and handle them both but unfortunately nowhere local has either. May need to buy either without seeing them first, hence looking for recommendations. Do any of the Yildiz models have auto safety?
  19. Above gun wanted in very good/excellent condition.
  20. Looking to buy either Lincoln Premier Gold or the Yildiz O/U in 28 bore, but undecided which gun to go for. Mainly for my use as a walked up roughshooting/vermin gun but also for my young nephew to have the occasional shot with. Has anyone personal experience of either and are willing to offer advice ie regarding build quality, finish etc? All comments gratefully appreciated.
  21. Hi folks, Am looking for honest opinions of the Air Arms Prosport air rifle. Looking to buy one for hunting and informal target shooting. Have seen mostly very good reviews but before I splash the cash wanted to see opinions of reliability, build quality etc from people who have owned and used these air rifles extensively. Also can you leave the gun cocked for a long time before affecting the main spring ie in hunting situations? Thanks very much for any advice.
