  1. I've noticed that myself. Hit them with no6 shot and when you skin em, loads of shot falls out. Just made it through the skin. No wonder sub twelve ft lbs air rifles don't stop em with body shots.
  2. I've never had a problem with Winchester .22's. It's probably a worn/loose chamber.
  3. Best get some pastry knocked up then good shooting :good:
  4. I'd say, don't clean the .22 and only clean the hmr when the edge goes off the accuracy. I once set up my hmr and I was consistently hitting beer bottle tops at 100 yards. Then made the mistake of cleaning the barrel. Took another box of ammo to get it back on form.
  5. Are the sight blades tight? Is the action tight in the stock?Maybe it's the ammo? My airsporter was hopeless with anything other than eley wasp 5.6 . Dont rest the gun on a hard surface to shoot, this will ruin the accuracy of a spring gun.Just a few things to try. Although you probably know this already.
  6. Couldn't agree more, that was ****.
  7. Yes,eley wasp 5.6 for the .22 Vulcan and the old bsa's. My airsporter was only any good with them, shot **** with anything else. Wasps also work well in the .177 Vulcan.
  8. Mine's had an ox spring in for twenty five years and it's still nudging twelve ft lbs if that's any help
  9. My .177 mark one has always been a bit harsh to shoot. I just got used to when I first had it by shooting it every day. I had nothing else to do in those days. Still got it and it still feels harsh to shoot. It used to eat scopes so now it's back on open sights. Gets used now and again. Bang on twelve foot pounds as it was when it was new.
  10. Yes, if you can get the Allen key in. There's not much room and it's more fiiddley. Couldn't get mine in when it was in position without grinding it down so found the mole grips much easier.
  11. I think all the manufacturers should use one colour for one gauge and stick to it. If they did this for every different gauge there would be little chance of a mix up. Unless you are colour blind of course.
  12. Did the links on mine Thursday. I took the bottom nuts off but no chance of getting the top ones undone. I had to cut them off with the grinder. Only took ten minutes each side though. When you fit the new ones, you need to clamp the top collar with mole grips while you tighten the top nut, otherwise the whole joint just turns instead of tightening up.
  13. Throttle body might need cleaning inside. I had a similar fault on my vw.
  14. Went out today, got three more crows. Loads of em about at the moment.
  15. I think the furthest was about twenty yards. I think they were less wary because of the rain. It's a chimbo poacher fourten. Two/ half inch carts number sixes. Serendipity.
  16. Went out monday hoping to get a rat or two. Got these instead.
  17. Hey dekers, I like your style seriously though, I've got one, it's great.
