  1. Yerr, that’s how I remember them too😁
  2. The 42 grain Winchester’s I had weren’t as accurate as the 40 grain in the blue box. Tried them twice, both times not very good for me. My pal found them to be the same. Haven’t bought any since. CCI subs are better in my CZ but my anschutz prefers RWS and SK.
  3. I think Dr Bob is in Yorkshire?
  4. I put some of that Camo tape on my .410 hushpower mod and it didn’t seem any quieter to me.......😂
  5. If it’s time for a change you’ve answered your own question. I have both and as above, the anschutz is a higher quality piece. The cz will just keep working and doing what it was made for, nothing more, nothing less. As tools, they both do the job👍
  6. But not 581 or 511 unfortunately.
  7. You say they won’t load, by that, do you mean they won’t chamber? If it’s been used with shorts for a long period of time the shorts will have created a burn ring in the chamber, stopping a longer cartridge from chambering. If that’s the case, it will need a good scrub to remove the residue.
  8. Not a clue mate??? I like your posts ditchman, it’s some of the others need to lighten up a bit. Try to have a bit of fun or banter and they’re jumping down your throat ***.....😂

    Finally

The best lighter weights in the striker are pylarms and h&n ftt’s. The bore isn’t as tight as my bsa’s was. I think back then I could only get rhinos (Green tin) , pylarms and I remember having a tin of h&n rampoint which wouldn’t even fit in the breech. The pylarms were the best I tried in the bsa, but apart from these three I never managed to source any other types at the time. I sold the supersport along with my airsporter to fund a Theoben sirocco carbine in .20 calibre, I still have the Theoben.

    Finally

I used to have a .25 supersport in the nineties. It was one of the first ones. When you say the .25 bumblebeed it’s way down range, that brought it back to me. It’s just the sound it made. I used it mainly for shooting rabbits around factory units at night and that sound was really apparent for some reason. It was also used for clearing ferals in factories, worked a treat for that. Got a striker .25 now and it’s done some work as well.
  11. Fun with a capital ‘F’ . I reckon that front tyre should last a while....😉👍
  12. No sense of humour allowed on here.....😂
  13. Shouldn’t be too difficult. When I requested fac air it was added no problem.
  14. What’s wrong with your airgun?
  15. Ok, thanks. I’ll put it in my 2025 diary...😂👍
  16. Thanks for the heads up, but 22nd March is a Tuesday?
  17. I found the same, these rws and sk hv hollow point. The hv eleys were good, but I don’t think they’ve been available for a while?
  18. I’ve been using them for years. I don’t use many cb caps, they’re accurate to ten yards and usable up to fifteen in my short barrelled anschutz. The s&b shorts are accurate out to thirty yards and I’ve used them for squirrels, rats and rabbits to good effect out to that distance. I know they’re not good in some rifles, maybe it’s the tight chamber in the anschutz that suits them more? Obviously I wouldn’t use them in my semi auto .22, the rws shorts are faster and more accurate but at fifty yards even these are at 1:1/2 inches so forty yards for those in the right rifle. As you say, some rifles just won’t get on with them at all.
  19. The only problem I’ve had is, if it’s loaded with three 3:1/2 inch carts. Fire the first one and the recoil pushes the two in the mag back and jams the mag follower into the crimp, so the carts in the mag don’t feed. I then have to push a rifle cleaning rod through the hole in the end of the mag to push the follower and carts free. This has only happened when loaded with three 3:1/2 inch carts, not shorter ones.
  20. 391’s have got to be one of the best autos available. I’ve had mine about ten years and wouldn’t want to part with it. I’ve also got an A400 xtreme that I only really use for heavy loads, ducks, geese, fox drives. I prefer the 391 for everything else. Mine is 20 gauge and handles and shoots like a dream.
  21. I agree, the triggers are stiff with no feel and hardly any movement. A shame as they’re nice rifles otherwise, and the magazine is a great design.
  22. Fair comment. I use a 12ltr 300 bar bottle, costs £4:00 for a refill so good value really. It keeps four rifles in air for ages.
  23. Looks like something of a deluxe version. Is it stainless tube?
  24. If you get fac air you’re probably best with a bottle gun, the modern bottle guns like impacts with power plenum for example, in .22 will give more than 200 shots per charge at well over 30ft lbs. I usually run 18 grain pellets at around 35ft lbs and with a reg pressure of only 95 bar using power plenum the shot count is vast. Mine has a 700mm barrel though, which makes it more efficient. Depends how much you want to spend of course, but I can definitely recommend an fac impact mk2 or mk3 with x twist barrel, they shoot slugs well also if required.
  25. I’ve got four precharged rifles, mk1 rapid, brocock contour S6 elite, HW100KS and FX impact fac. They’re all good performers but only two of them have any character. The first two.
