  1. Nice shooting pal, I wouldn’t want to part with my old rapid. It doeskin get used so much now but it’s still a great rifle 😁👍
  2. Fac air is better, but it’s handy to have some low energy rimfire ammo anyway. I’ve got these at the moment.
  3. No, rws shorts. I do use z langs, they run at around 47ft lbs. RWS .22 shorts are nearer 60ft lbs (I have chrono’d them but can’t remember exactly) The z langs are slower but slightly more accurate in my .22 bolt gun.
  4. But which is better? Only one way to find out.... 🥊🥊 😁
  5. They vary, some are around 35ft lbs up to around 70-80ft lbs. I currently have some s&b .22 shorts that run at the lower end and are ok in my anschutz up to about 30 yards accuracy wise. The rws shorts I was using previously were faster at around 900fps if I remember correctly and they shot about an inch at fifty yards. Like most rimfire ammo, they’ll work better in some rifles than others. High velocity shorts are available as well, might be hard to come by though these days.
  6. I’ve been hanging my nose over them again. Wouldn’t mind one in .25 but haven’t got a spare slot for another fac air at the moment and variations are taking ages apparently. Don’t know if it’d be worth having one in .177 12ft lbs? All those adjustments available and the only way you can go is down😕
  7. My impact has a 700mm barrel but it’s still a fairly short gun overall as the barrel starts just in front of the buttpad. Brilliant shot count even at 40ft lbs, and so accurate. I was going to buy an fac crown, but went for the impact because of its design practically in fac and I don’t regret that decision. I’d still like a crown as well though. Call me greedy😂
  8. I’ve got no feeders out at the moment so I’ve just been picking the odd one off while mooching around. The mosquito pellets that Neville sent me seem to be of good quality, they work well in my hw99s but I’m still searching for a replacement for the original eley wasps for my old British .22’s. Thank you Neville, I’ll be getting some of the mosquito’s in the future, they are a good pellet 👍
  9. That’s true, I still have two WTC’s and agree, they were better optics, as were the Japanese tasco scopes. The optima’s were ok, but nothing outstanding in my opinion.
  10. I had one on my Webley Vulcan. Still got the Vulcan but I let the optima go on another rifle I sold.
  11. Take it back for a refund. Reason being the item is not fit for purpose. If they refuse, contact trading standards.
  12. I think bottles on guns are exempt if they are 0.5 litres or less in capacity?
  13. A friend of mine has one of these, it’s the all black one with the adjustable cheek piece. He’s a pesty and uses it for work. I borrowed it for a few days and I thought it was very good at it’s price point. In fact, there’s nothing wrong with it at all. A little heavy maybe, but it’s accurate, nice to shoot and it’s probably taken more ferals than most peoples airguns ever will. I have a fair few so called top end airguns, but I’m no airgun snob and I’d happily own an AT44-10, they’re good guns.
  14. I think the earlier ones with built in scope mount will be more desirable than the later ones with dovetails. Both nice though, but if you’re only keeping one I’d keep the sirocco. Just my opinion.
  15. Well, done. Lovely guns, top quality and enjoyable to shoot. I’m sure you’ll have some good outings with it😁👍
  16. Nice one fella, they are brilliant. It will be good to know how you get on with it😁👍
  17. Not an evolution, it’s got theoben built in mounts. Evolution was later and had dovetails in the cylinder. It’s a sirocco 2000 fenny 😁👍
  18. They are lovely build quality and made to last, I wouldn’t part with mine, it’s got a character and different feel to any of my other air rifles. Really quick shot cycle with no vibration and hardly any recoil. Lovely to shoot.
  19. Yerr, they’re good. I’ve got a sirocco carbine HE in .20 cal that I bought new around 1991/92 ish and it’s still as good as the day I bought it.
  20. Unless it’s an eliminator model it’s probably below 12ft lbs. the eliminator should have the word “eliminator “ engraved on the breech block.
  21. Another good sized one next to my size eleven....
