So where am I going wrong? I use a consistent hold and practice every day, and I still can’t shoot a group less than an inch at 50 yards with my gat gun.

Nice write up fella, looks like you got some serious damage up there.

Yerr, the impact is great. I’ve got it set up to run from 19ft lb to 41ft lb just on the power wheel. Only running 95 bar regulator pressure so shot count is brilliant, even at 40ft lb. Also the smooth twist X barrel is super accurate with both pellets and slugs.

If you did fit a longer barrel the power would increase significantly, so you’d need to reduce hammer tension to keep it down to 12ft lbs.

Yerr, I’ve got a v-Mach 99 custom, and very nice it is too, but I thought one of these might be worth a punt?

Nuthatches will take loads of peanuts. They take them and hide them for winter. A nuthatch was taking on average, three peanuts per minute from one of my feeders. That’s 180 per hour! It was doing that all day.

Cant beat it, so much fun over the years punching holes in tin cans. Strangely I’ve still never got bored with it. Nothing serious or technical, just fun, brilliant 😀👍

HW35 was known for barrel droop if I remember correctly? As you say, using open sights fixed to the barrel it’ll make no difference 👍

Looks like decent value for money that xs20. Any idea how they compare to the Remington express and sabre? I’ve read good reviews on those too.

I think slugs need speed to stabilise, 800fps plus, so 8.5 grain max for 12ft lb rifles probably. I hope I’m wrong.....🤷‍♂️

What barrel length? Have you tried 40 grain v-max, you should find they’re more accurate past 150 than the 35 grain as they seem to struggle a bit at those ranges.

They are, I have an hw60 in .22 hornet. Strange thing is, it was cheaper than the cz527. Nothing wrong with the cz, but the hw is better finished.....and that trigger, oooh so sweet.

Yerr, the hw60 triggers are sublime. The best I’ve ever used I think.

My A400 xtreme cycles 24 gram two inch eleys no problem. I think they need breaking in first though, as said.
