    Hi Simon

Its not that i have an issue killing anything - God knows i shoot every day - trap every day - But to me its just the lack of need. Your videos are brilliant - they show skill - they tell of the need to reduce crows or foxes to protect ground nesting birds - or lambs. Killing for the sake of killing - i dont think is what you are about - look at Peter ! - hes safe as houses !

Hope you see where i was coming from - and yeah i trhink its so sad and indeed pathetic that we now have so many copycat fly killers - but as i say if thats all they can manage

I know its ok Jall i also got told off with two more people on YouTube why i took it down, no offence taken pal.

On no, just found this thread and the video has been removed, would have loved to watch it.

I spent many a happy hour shooting flies off the house wall with an ASI repeating air rifle some fifty odd years ago. Best shots were while they where mating, two for one most satisfying even though pellets were dirt cheap.

Ye pal one or two folk frowned upon it but its the world we live in these days unfortunately so better gone, i suppose they will be saving the maggot next when they see people fishing lol.

Simon, you've fallen into the dark side ... escape while you can.

It's amazing what £4100 gets you these days....

Lol ye not cheap is thermal root i suppose but hell we only live once un like Jimmy Bond

Excellent Simon well done 👍 myself and Conor spot with Thermal but take the shot with NV. So many times I've thought get a thermal scope but as yet held back one do to price the other being able to 100% ID and place a accurate shot at range when needed. Must admit seeing your video it did/does look a 250 yrd shot would be safe id and accurate shot ,🤔

Ye pal i too think like you and have done since thermal came out BUT! ya know when i look through this Thermtec it makes me think different so ye i could be owning one soon but i will be trying the Infiray V2 soon and i hear that is another cracker so will see.

That’s how I was taught to shoot back in the 50’s At 10 yards with an iron sighted BSA Cadet Major except it was wasps which Father detested. Jam wiped around the rim of a jar full of water. A farthing for every head in the water, but fined a shilling for every broken jar. Soon in debt until you learned to concentrate on the target ignoring all else. When I finally shot myself out of debt, Father told me, OK, now you can shoot.

Ye pal years ago i used to shoot flys with my old BSA meteor  with open sights and like no one would believe me lol.

    Simon

    Not watched this one yet

    You are out a lot

In my experience foxes do take lambs - good healthy lambs too - there is a thread running on SD with many disputing this. What are our thoughts - real life experiences please ?

Ye pal foxes do take lambs but being truthful they get the blame for it also when badgers are taking them as well in fact over the last few years i think badgers now are causing more problems than foxes but as you know there's  nothing we can do about it and its the same with Ravens but same again nothing we can do about it.

Erm Simon just to point out you do know Jack has top billing as per his contract ( line just after air conditioned winni-bago) - surely you have arranged a cut as master and chief ear-scratcher?

    atb Agriv8

Lol we had a practise in the garden today and he is still as keen as ever just a tad more wobbly and the odd bald spot 😂🐕‍🦺

Good shootan Simon👍,good info and a bit of fun, as you know no gun shoots the same, I have an s400 I use for FT and it not Reged but if you put the right pressure in it you will get 50 shots as good as a gun 3 times the money. interesting🙋👍

Ye its right that Morkin i think the older pcp's always had a sweet spot where they shoot absolutely spot on at a certain pressure
