  10. You will be fine with a 270, look around and get a bargain it's out of fashion right now bit like sxs shotguns. I use both with no issues.
  11. My thinking on this is 00 Buck with fibre wad is for short range work but T Buck is for longer ranges hence plastic wad to hold a pattern further out. Just what I have found loading and testing buckshot and may have no bearing, could be cost related for US market.
  12. Just seen this, think you where right to go with Blue Dot and Bubba Roundtree has plenty of options in the 1.5 - 1.7 ozs lead payload range. I have had some of his Blue Dot loads tested and they are fine which is to be expected because his powder charges are way lower than Alliant max on web site, but you never know. I have loaded a lot of Bubba loads from BB to 0 Buck and many pattern very well at extended range out of my Mossberg with the right choke. I would be interested to hear how you get on. Good luck.
