Thanks for all your input. Ive decided to keep the xtrema for now but tidy it up a bit. Barrels could do with a coat of somthing to bring them back looking nice but i dont really no what to use. Any forts? Plus the fore end could do with a new rubber insert or replacing all together aswell if i could find one. Thanks Matty

The cartridges you have mention will kill pigeons and crows fine.

Dont get to shoot many clays but rio target load 28 7 is one of my top loads i use on pigeons and they work very well.

My boss went out friday shooting what was said as layed barley in a very good pigeon area. With a si of jealousy i said take plenty of cartridges. At 4 oclock i rang him he was on 238 and still shooting. I rang at 7 he was packed up. He had clicked and killed 325. I asked howd picking them go. He picked up 150. He spoke with landowner befor i rang. He said as much as i dont like the fort of leaving a food source there u have to understand that u have shoot 300+ there still coming and uve packed up, just think of the damage this ammount of birds has been doing. Anyhelp i am greatfull of. As much as i disagree i can see his point.

Does the sticky back plastic bubble or is it easy applied? Thinking of doing this?

I used field hides alot of the time. To be honest i just make a hide the same hight in a circle around me. I used to use conifer to make it look like a bush and it lasted nearly 5 months when kept in the garage. These days just nets.

Ok so ive had my xtrema for around a year and dont get on to bad with it but just latly ive found myself looking at synthetic maxus. Theres just somthing about them that makes them look nice to swing from a hide. So what would people do stick with the xtrema or try a maxus. What has the maxus got over an xtrema? Were i am located last year there were two feilds of linseed around 5 miles apart. One feild had hundreds on and my mate had some good bags. The other feild i did not see one pigeon on it at anytime.

Well done aga man. There 100% on the barley now, too good friends of mine were on laid barley on a well known estate in my area on sunday with a total bag a 320. As said already a good kill ratio aswell.

Was out shooting pigeons on chickweed yesterday and when walking the birds off there was a pure white woodie, not feral deffently woodie. Never shot one and have only ever seen 1 other, it did return with around 5 other woodies during the day but hung rite out at the back of the gang.

Hope to read some good reports.
