my shoulder is pretty sore. I was finishing the last of my buffalo 36grm No.6s :unsure:

Started at 9am and finished at 4pm Shot them coming into the wood after acorns. No decoys used. 136 birds picked. A lot of cartidges fired.

I shot this fox last night. He didn't look too healthy.... I have never seen mange on the foxes at home before.

What I find pretty amazing is that even with a large rifle, 6.5 x 55 129grn bullet, they still seem to run quite a distance with a good 'heart/lung' shot. When I go to pick him up I'm amazed at them amount of damage done. I think, even when a miss is suspected, that one should follow the fox up at least 120yrds anyway. Just to be sure. Often they will drop on the spot if they're not sure youre there. However when they know something is wrong (and the adrenalin is pumping) they cover huge distances, even with a well placed shot. They never cease to amaze me

Threading of the barrel is very important, and should be done on a decent lathe. Its especially important on centre fire rifles. -
What about benelli or browning.........??
