  1. Is the box wooden or cardboard?
  2. The branded recoil pad that Browning used to sell (& still does) is called the Reactor. It fits into a pocket inside the vest or jacket, and the one I had, still in the box, came with a mesh pocket which you could sew into your own jacket Lower recoil? One of the several reasons to take up shotshell reloading. You can then experiment with powder types, shot charges, etc to fine tune the result that best suits your needs. And another vote for using a semi-auto gas operated gun as that will further reduce the recoil impulse Aside from the KickEEZ recoil system, you can also look into adding weight to the gun. ....so quite a few ways to lessen the felt recoil, as well as the actual recoil produced
  3. NOPE You are thinking of, strangely enough given what they are, air-rifles... Once you make an air rifle (or air WEAPON in Scotland) into Section 1 - it is set in stone & will remain Section 1 until destroyed or exported, etc.
  4. Very easy. Used to work at the importers. they will sell the replacement main (new & uncrimped) magazine tube - and also an extension for it if you want to take it past standard capacity
  5. Was becoming partial to a nice curry during my younger years, as they were all the rage, along with Yoga & tie dies, etc. Home cooked. Really nice, UNTIL, the DIRTY DIRTY *******....added slices of banana, and raisins....in a chicken curry!! Dirty dirty dirty! I'll not say what she did to pizzas. She was lucky ChildLine was not around...! Was lucky (?) enough to do my degree in the West Miss in the early/mid-90's. Had some amazing Baltis in Wolves: about £4 would get a tin dish big enough to wash a small farm animal in, a with a naan bread Captain Cook could have used as a blanket to keep off the Antarctic chill of an evening. Had some real good curry on Cowley Road in Oxford in the late 80's too. First time I'd had mango chutney, lassi, etc. too.
  6. Aye, it's a 22 Will get photos over later - presently out at the Eegor-in-laws in far flung Jockistan
  7. Only two years to the telegram from QEII, unless she's gone the journey & it's Charles III (?) Hope it gets sorted out ok OP. Always remember what the separated couples say in Norfolk; we may be divorced now, but we'll always be brother and sister...
  8. Will have to check the one I bought. Still in the box, bought for an uncle when he was selling his old C90... "It doesn't fit...." Dozy ****** had been trying to fit it into the compartment backwards!! May be able to make use of it....just need to buy one of them flappy magnet gizmos!
  9. Got a junk-tastic Chinese wonder gun.... Westlake break barrel. Ideal for shooting trapped things... Probably £25 posted. Had very little use. Happy to send photos if it's a likely candidate?
  10. When in doubt, click on the advert link....
  11. Got one, close to mint condition. Main balance arm missing though!
  12. Thanks Much as I LOVE to deal with Terry, and have had several drinks with him at Bisley, there are two hopes of dealing with him when you are several counties away - none and Bob Tried some years ago. Voicemail left, e-mails, etc. Nothing...
  13. Those things SHOULD be seen as a valid reason to be allowed to carry razor sharp garden shears in a public place The amount of ******* busy texting or chatting away, oblivious to their rat shaped faeces spreader's pavement truffle antics, or it being wrapped around a couple of trees, etc. is beyond belief Used to go on regular dog club walks for the breed we own and I was always getting wrapped up in the bloody things! people who mix up to and too - worse than illegal fly tippers 🤪
  14. Having spent time in Indonesia, I'm surprised they managed to get more than two trips out of it before it was lost... NOT really a strong ally of the West - I'm guessing that if the sub was of German origin, it was from the old East German puppet state.
  15. They seem to live by the mantra "We're Durham, we do things differently" (a phrase given to me word for word more than once by senior FLO staff) Already have an official complaint in about them....and have followed that up with the Home Secretary earlier this month, as the priority with Durham is not being the administrative agent for the County Durham shooters of existing & approved legislation, but the inventing of new breaches in the Act, which are even counter to their own advice on the force website!! I have a feeling that the rifle of mine which they unlawfully seized last Sept. has been destroyed... Aside from that, they have blank refused to do at least two one-for-one variations in the time since, yet told other shooters "neighbouring forces are not doing variations..." Well, neither are Durham! I did get written confirmation that the renewals I have in are within the legal time frame to allow my certs to remain valid for the new 8 weeks post-expiry date...
  16. ...and likely more than one village priest uses a similar web cam to keep an eye on some of the younger flock
  17. Been following this for some time Used to be mates with several post-masters, luckily none of whom were affected by this fiasco! The heavy handed way the Post Office treated the local post-masters was nothing short of appalling...especially for those who were fined or even jailed in some cases!! That's time they won't get back. Since privatisation the Post Office has become almost a big a farce as the BBC
  18. Had a long term plan to cosmetically restore a sporterised 410 No.4 Lee Enfield back into a look-a-like "No.4 .303 Rifle" again, as the wood had been cut back. The donor No.4 410 has a chopped wooden lower forend, with the upper sections removed/not present. "New" wooden sections have been sourced now, but the problem is, in the time since getting most of the stuff together, I've moved house & now cannot locate the metal parts I accumulated for the project. I'm looking for the metal bands that go around the front end of the No.4, the rear upper retaining ring, both sets of sling swivels, metal nose cap, etc. Anyone got any of the above sitting in need of a new home? I've spotted most of it on Ebay, but the prices there are 🤪
  19. ...it went on to make a full recovery, aside from the obvious brain damage; but it later had a long and very successful career in local government planning
  20. Not legal to mail blanks, so maybe ask a local RFD to see what they have
  21. Ta If that was the PM on Monday, I replied to it on Monday, asking for prices, etc. Cheers
  22. Waiting for reply re 30-06 bits you mentioned
  23. Caliber not important (but .410 would be nice) Condition not too important Does NOT have to be complete with dies, but ideally should have the primer tray assembly In need of a SizeMaster press I can use as a base to add a set of 20-ga dies and parts to
