  1. We went for a walk with the dog yesterday and the hedge rows are loaded with sloes. Only managed a kilo as the only bags we had were for the dog.. Back for more tomorrow night though,
  2. Evening all Trying to think of something to do with my boys tomorrow and my eldest (11) wants to try clay shooting and the youngest (7) wants to try also. I have my SGC and 12G which is a bit heavy for both so was wondering if there was a school around Berkshire that could cater for them both with gun hire that could come recommended. Thanks Chris
  3. I normally scan around the supermarkets for the offers and found a little soft spot for a nice Malbec. There was one on offer at Tesco called Parra Alta from Argentina it was bloody lovely. Also the headache the next day was quite bearable too ....!
  4. There is a nice little one Reading way called Happy Valleys, http://www.happyvalleyclays.co.uk . Been there a few times always a friendly welcome and a nice bunch up there. Normally a good dog roll and coffee available after the round too.
  5. I did the Woodfords this year and it wasn't too bad. But the St Peters ruby ale I also done was better in my opinion, really nice pint and kept a head throughout.

    watch websites

I used these a few years ago for the wife's birthday. Really good service and delivery from them. They were also the cheapest at the time for the watch she wanted. Don't know of their comparison prices now though. www.britishwatchcompany.com
  7. Its a garden spider also known as a cross spider because of the marking on its back. Theres a few round by me they keep the kids occupied trying to find them too.
  8. Thats better than I thought. I know the stamp duty is a bit of a killer
  9. We have now got to the point of needing somewhere bigger and are trying to weigh up the costs, roughly, for moving house. Just wondering what we would be looking at for solicitors fees for doing this. Any ideas? I know Im going to be skint after this either way!
  10. We looked at these when getting a car for the wife after getting rid of mine. After looking around we crossed to the dark side and found at the Hyundai ix35 and have found it to be a fantastic car for us. It's our main car for weekends going away and whatever else we throw at it as a family and haven't found fault with it yet.. No doubt there will be issues with it as with all cars but for the money we paid it has most toys and does the school run nicely.!
  11. Ok its not the Sportage, but I brought the Hyundai IX35 and really rate it. We got he premium 4x4 version so it has all the toys to play with and for a car in its class for that money it is well worth it. The mpg that they quote doesn't show in what we do but like Kes say's it returns about 40 ish on a run so can swallow that.
  12. I waited 10 weeks then phoned just to check they had the paperwork. While on the phone booked the home visit for the next week and then had it in about 7days
  13. Singleton, Cardhu, Glemorangie and Grouse for me. Bloody stuff evaporates in my cupboard though....!
  14. If your close enough have you tried Bisley shooting ground in Surrey?
  15. I have mine tucked away upstairs in a cupboard away from the kids. I did find that resin anchored threaded bar was a lot easier in my walls than rawl bolts though .
  16. Jacobs Creek Shiraz for a change tonight
  17. Right it's now blanked off nd took 15 mins which included dropping and retrieving the spanner as well. Time will tell now!
  18. Could be worth a shot Rabbiter. Is it ok to use on Diesel engines with DPF's do you know?
  19. When it goes into limp mode, where the digital mileage is, the red light comes on down there and a message says something can't remember what now though. Then you have to restart the car to clear it and carry on or there is no power. The diagnostic software says EGR valve is at fault, PITA. I have Sunday out on the clays so should really do it before then.
  20. Mine is right at he back. Where it is circled on here is the rear of the engine and starting to go into the bulkhead. http://www.tdocuk.com/viewtopic.php?t=9784 From what I have heard it stops the recirculating of the exhaust gasses going back into the air and fuel mixture. The performance is supposed to be a bit greater. Heard of a few doing it from new too.
  21. It's been a bloody nightmare for ages so brought one of the blanking plates off eBay, about £3, so thought I'd try that first. The ones on these engines are electronic and have been told these are unable to be cleaned like the mechanical ones, and looking at it it's a bit of a mare to change as well. I can just about get to the two bolts that keep the cooler pipe attached to the valve so should be fun.
  22. Morning all I have a Cmax 2.0 tdci 05 reg and the EGR valve is playing up , it has been for a while but tried to put up with the car going into limp mode but its getting worse. I'm trying to go down the cheap route first by blanking it off rather than paying a few hundred quid out on replacing it, rather spend it on the shooting hobby.! Has anybody tried this with the tdci and more importantly did it work? At muchly in advance Chris
  23. Definitely brown got to be HP and even straight on toast!
