  2. thanks for the reply's fella's. much appreciated and pretty much what i was expecting. it wasn't going to be used as my sole net, its just the wife wants to get me something from the kids for fathers day, and i thought about one of these nets as they are pretty cheap. i have used the leaf cut nets for many years and agree with vampire, that they take some beating. thanks again aga man.
  3. hi chaps, sorry if it's been done before but was wondering if any of you have tried the clearview netting from jack pyke. the one that is claimed to be see through from inside. seems a bit too good to be true and it seems cheap thank in advance. aga man.
  4. well done mate not as easy as you would expect on the peas at the moment :look:
  5. another vote for good attitude and politeness. like a lot of things mantain eye contact and be straight and honest. these things count over any clothing or vehicle. don't get dispondent if you get knocked back
  6. thats encouraging to hear mate. our local dairy farm nr hull used to have dozens in a summer. nothing for past couple of years. will be listening out now
  7. lol forgot to say mate thats a shared bag with my mate. the field approx 15 acre was covered with birds most of last week was expecting to ton up B)
  8. a day out on the peas yesterday, sunday the 10th. started with very high hope as on the previous days the field had a couple of hundred birds on it. **** law, turned up sunday 8 am there was about 8 birds feeding and not much in the sky with bright sun an light winds. got set up with 12 dead birds and two on a magnet. within twenty minutes eight birds in the bag looked good and the birds commited very well often landing into the deeks. 30 minutes later the action stopped :( not a bird in the sky.with so many peas around i think we pushed them onto other land. during the aternoon a few birds trickled in but nothing spectacular. shouldn't complain as any bag is good bag at the moment but was expecting better. birds getting fly blown was a problem and three of the birds were young not long out of the nest. not the best pic but it was a tyring day. 38 picked. aga man
  9. in my very limited experience it has a lot to do with the quality of the camera and of course the person behind it

  23. just to add my input. i joined the forum in march 2012, so i guess i am a newbie. i find the forum useful and find folk here to be helpful and the banter pretty good. for sure there are people who know better and have bigger guns etc but surely thats just life and you find this wherever you are in the world. the forum is expanding and with the amount of members there's always gunna be people who shoot the newbies down. like i said that's life just take it on the chin,if it gets too personal the mods will stop it. i think newbies just need to think carefully before posting as there's a lot of people viewing
