A lad at shool was an uber nerd. He used to hang about with us and that was fine. I suspect he's a leading mathematical genius currently but in reality I don't know. Anyways he was also very good at some martial art. The school bully used to call him Bruce (also chinese) and offered him out by throwing a punch, brucie caught the punch and said in his super nerdy way "ill fight you after school" and simply went into lesson. We all schemed ways for him to avoid this fight as it wouldn't have gone well and implored him to simply not show up. True to his work brucie turned up as did the bully with his hangers on. One perfect roundhouse kick later and bully was semi conscious on the floor with a bleeding mouth and nose. Brucie simply picked up his massive school bag rammed with books and hurried off to his mums waiting car. It was magnificent. From that day we called him Bruce as he had earnt it. The bully did various stretches inside and I have a feeling died in his 20's.

Caught up with mine one way or the other and those that have tried soon realise its their mistake since about 11 years old. Once had a chap from school stop me in the street and say sorry he was such an ***. I couldn't remember his name. Do you know where his grave is?
  4. About 40 feet or it displays its last known location. So a bit shorter than 70 miles. Given it is blue tooth it wouldn't expect much more.
  5. An airtag has a very limited range, you'd see the car.
  6. On the north downs, particularly around happy valley there's a tiny orchid that lives amongst the grass. Fits on a finger nail but very pretty.
  7. 7.5 works so can't see why 8s won't at sensible ranges. I tend to shoot 6 as I find it hard to get 7's and don't shoot enough clays anymore to buy 7.5. That said I haven't shot for a long while so may not bother anymore.
  8. Worked for me since I was 8 and got my 1st airpistol. Not lost any seals due to it either, pcp or otherwise. Too much oil is worse than not enough.
  9. 99.99% all that is needed is a wipe down with an oily cloth. Occasional drop of oil on the 45 on hinges and that's about it. Not done anymore to my pcp and she's been good for the last 8 years or so. Don't clean the barrels on an airgun if using lead pellets. Some strip them right down and mess about but really it's just giving them something to do.
  10. Used to operate a twin 18ft bandsaw that ran at a fair old lick (fed a 100m a min 24 head moulder). Listening to it wirr up was always interesting, could predict your whole day to 99% accuracy from those few seconds. Seldom was it turned off. No idea what make it was.
  11. What he said, Dactylorhiza fuchsii
  12. I've had 2 no faults claims in recent years. 1 a write off and 1 a near write off. Neither increased my premiums. In fact the last premium was a fair bit cheaper for whatever reason. Inform your insurers ASAP. They will deal with it, hqve your repairs assessed and decide if its a write off or not. They then tell the other party what it cost and are reimbursed. Same as a write off, your insurer pays you and then they claim it back from the other party. Both instances were painless. Should it be a write off (amazing what is this days) find your spec vehicle 5 times or so for a price that's reasonable to you (autotrader) make a note of them so you can haggle when they offer you less. Took 10 minutes and a coffee and was worth 1000 to me.
  13. They've just synced. You have to be careful what you click when setting these things up. I'm sure more than one divorce has come about for similar.
  14. Nice and crunchy with a softish centre.
  15. Quorn is not vegan due to the egg whites in it. I met an x neighbour I hadn't seen for a couple of years. He was a young fit healthy lad with glowing skin and shiny hair. When I met him again his eyes were sunken, his skin pale and hair lank. He looked bloody awful with his suit hanging off him. I was sure he had some terminal illness (not exaggerating at all) and I didnt want to ask. He soon told me he was vegan (due to peer pressure) and "never felt better". He looked like death. In fact I've seen people very near death that look a lot better. Another occasion on my return to the office i was asked what the soup was. I replied i had no idea as i had a bacon sandwich. The lady told me to never mention bacon to a vagan and i politily asked her to not question me about soup when my bacon sandwich was getting cold. She was most upset but didn't ask again. It's not for me, I don't know one vegan/veggy dish that can't be improved with meat. I don't force vegans to eat meat and I'd appreciate it if they don't try and lecture me about eating it.
  16. Ah I c, I leave my mix out so room temp and use olive oil. Does the trick.
  17. Or put them in smoking hot oil to start with.
  18. It's an effect of reading ditcheys exploits.
  19. Lwt us know how you get on with this. I fancy a change from .22 to a .177 and want some compact.
  20. Don't think cip s is superior steel shot proof. Its just superior proof. Personally I wouldn't worry about it.
  21. Given the crack you get with a sub 12 pcp I would say yes for sure at 30. It won't be quieter without it. If one shot and home is your thing then leave it off. Springer is debatable but those I strapped a can to were better for it, particularly the 99. Albeit it you need someone else to fire it whilst you stand away a few feet to appreciate it.
  22. There's hoardes of Mongolian throat slingers that can't match up to what ditchy did.....
  23. They had a habit of creeping way over the limit also.
  24. Ditchman's original ginger inserter, quite rare.....
  25. I use pigeon/pork at a 50/50 mix. Leek and chive goes best. Sometimes use beer or cider occasionally red wine. Some apple is nice too. Burger wise it's the same mix and whatever burger mix u want to add, from hot and spicy to whatever. Occasionally make a rissole with it using herbs and chopped onion. Spicey meatballs goes well too. Italian herbs and chopped onions. Everyone likes them. Got 40 odd kg in the freezer to sort out soon ready for bbq season. If I get a munty it's burgers or dice for stews. Occasionally I gather up all the odd bits of game and do a pot luck burger or sausage. Can be entertaining. Never thought to add mango. Might give that a try.
