  1. There's hoardes of Mongolian throat slingers that can't match up to what ditchy did.....
  2. They had a habit of creeping way over the limit also.
  3. Ditchman's original ginger inserter, quite rare.....
  4. I use pigeon/pork at a 50/50 mix. Leek and chive goes best. Sometimes use beer or cider occasionally red wine. Some apple is nice too. Burger wise it's the same mix and whatever burger mix u want to add, from hot and spicy to whatever. Occasionally make a rissole with it using herbs and chopped onion. Spicey meatballs goes well too. Italian herbs and chopped onions. Everyone likes them. Got 40 odd kg in the freezer to sort out soon ready for bbq season. If I get a munty it's burgers or dice for stews. Occasionally I gather up all the odd bits of game and do a pot luck burger or sausage. Can be entertaining. Never thought to add mango. Might give that a try.
  5. It did indeed. Right up until the 2 towers went down. Wasn't so funny then, the old shaking of the tin in bars.
  6. I shot a big one a few years ago and it was hard work getting the skin off, so hard I threw it in the bushes and forgot about eating them. Could have skinned a deer easily in the time I wasted with it. Just would not come off.
  7. Aigle, the wife has worn hers daily (and I mean daily) for the last 7 years and they are still going strong. Just bought her another pair of the same.
  8. Lighter fuel and tissue paper. Removes most things.

    Snow ?

I've ran all season tyres for the last 4 years on both cars. Won't go back to summer tyres. Much better on cold mornings, snow, ice mud and in the wet. The few hot days we have aren't worth the remaining 7 months. Even the 2 wheel drive jazz made it up a steep hill with a range rover and kuga couldn't get up.
  10. You can measure the mag easily enough to where the crip is my 390 has been crimped and its very easy to see. I would guess theres something that's go in there.
  11. For bread it has to be serrated. Couldn't imagine using anything else.

    Shellfish

Some seafood I like - prawns/fish/muscles/crab but I can't stand oysters and similar. Nasty. Dad had a boat many years ago and we sailed to France, the meal was arranged by the yacht club (1st time we did the crossing so went with others) and it was a sea food platter. A few of us tried but just couldn't eat it. Mum loves Seaford and ate the lot. Literally all of it. We sailed back the next day in a force 7 gusting 8 to 9. Sick as a dog doesn't cover it.took 12 hrs I think in a 30 footer. Not dissimilar to being in a washing machine. She literally puked for the village. We never bothered again, a local cafe would do steak and chips for a couple of quid with red plonk for little more. To this day oysters etc reminds me of it and I can't stomach even trying. Every time we went (a lot) one way was good the other rough as it gets. Years later dad sold the boat and likened the experience to staying in a cold shower tearing up £20 notes. We went round the med and had fried squid at some point. Never had it before. I like it. To this day eating fried squid takes me back to 30.c sunny Greek taverns with owners smoking cigars and German blondes showering nude on the deck whilst my dad and a random yank watched and waited for mum to arrive in the dinghy. He was watching the approaching dingy with almost as much interest at these 2 blondes. I was a tender age but it's stuck with me.
  13. Had a striker in .22 and it wasn't very loud at all, possibly not worth getting a silencer for really after 20 yards or so. Impact made more noise. That was noticed next to and away from the gun. If you can get the weird plastic shroud off then a slip on would do, may need to drill it out ton8mm or so if its not wide enough although I suspect it would be fine.
  14. He has done, you've pasted it in your post though.
  15. Google says Pseudomonas is contagious. Transmission is possible through contact with contaminated surfaces or equipment, and also the consumption of contaminated water or fruit and vegetables. It can also pass from person to person via contact with hands and skin.
  16. I've used all sorts of kitchens knives over the years and find procook as good as any. Same steel as the remarkably expensive brands, easy to sharpen and hold an edge. Nice profiles. A lot cheaper. Not a fan of global.
  17. Perfect opportunity to add another gun to your collection.
  18. There was a chap who lived in the same village as me. He was a bit of an annoyance with the neighbours and loved gadgets. Not afraid to shout about the place but would soon lose his nerve I found with as much as a disapproving look or a pointed finger. You have probably encountered the type. I am reliably told he had a new spanky pants toilet whose lid would open up side ways as you sat over it and close again automatically. So a 50/50 split left to right like automatic bombay door or something. One pleasant sunny summer afternoon there were some terrible screams followed by a fire engine and an ambulance. These went on for a while. He was apparently "wiping up" and had momentarily lifted himself, the seat being a good automatic loo seat began closing, but couldn't finish the cycle as it clamped his nackers. Being the good loo seat it was, it kept trying. I don't know what the pressure was but I'm told it sounded awful and could be heard for a considerable distance. They had to cut the power and physically pull it apart to release him. Oh the hilarity of big burly fireman releasing his nuts in the cramp confines of trap 1. The village was amused.
  19. Visited some family in Italy and had an ice cream by a lake. Can't remember the lake but it was huge, usual Italian fair and very pretty. A Chap was fishing nearby and I asked the inlaw (native) what he was catching, was told the lake was dead and fished out. He asked if i wasn't curious why I hadn't seen any birds, all had been **** apparently. He had a point I hadn't seen one I the week we were there. No reason to doubt him. In the 2 hrs I was there the chap didn't catch a fish
  20. He invented it apparently and it wasn't for throwing clays......

    Watch strap?

Pop the strap in a box and get a decent nato strap or similar that suits the watch.
  22. As above, open both to light and then close the bottom if burning wood. If burning coal you feed it from the bottom which in part helps keep the grate slightly cooler due to coals hotter burn. The glass should be mostly clear, Ash on a damp bit of kitchen roll has it like new easy enough. House coal won't blow the doors off but can blow the glass out so smokeless only.
  23. My cat brought a fully grown rabbit in. I knew he had something large as he made a right racket getting through the cat flap. He proudly presented the buck rabbit to me and I promptly thew it back out, locking the cat flap before the wife saw. The cat sat outside and over the course of 3 hrs ate the whole thing bar its tail. He looked like a snake that had eaten a pig. No apparent I'll effects but he is wormed often. He also eats squirrels but has a right tear up with them when he gets hold of one.
