  1. I understand that wbac is a feed in vehicle for BCA
  2. no need to be - a decent instructor should make you fully aware of what gun fit means - google gun fit or shotgun gun fit to see whats involved - no need to spend a fortune - open a new topic on gun fit here - plenty of knowledgeable members
  3. make sure the gun fits - if it doesn't forget it - otherwise you could spend a fortune trying to make it fit
  4. +1 a decent o/u shotgun will cost you £1400 new and every thousand shells you put through it will cost circa £170 plus the cost of the clays. To get someone who knows what they are doing to look at you and your gun and recommend what fitting action is required will cost far less than a £100 plus the modification costs. welsh warrior on here does it, he has try guns I believe. Many have recommended his services.
  5. nothing is easy to resolve on a pigeonwatch thread - even when it is!!!
  6. O/U shotguns are preferred by clay shooting grounds as the majority of spent shells end up in the bins provided. Those who ensure their semi auto, spent shells, go into the bin are in the minority - as anyone will tell you - even the naughty boys!
  7. 20 gauge o/u or a 12 gauge semi auto - sorbothane butt pads - start with low charge shells and work up - but only when the lady is happy - don't teach her yourself - use someone like welsh warrior off here - no need for the oity toity £100 an hour merchants
  8. Did some pattern checks on a 30 year old and a 1 year old miroku yesterday - both spot on - amazingly accurate guns - if only i was as accurate on the clays!!
  9. plod doesn't like to hear about "misplaced" guns for obvious reasons - Any upright law abiding citizen would report their concerns
  10. whatever you buy make sure it "fits" you.
  11. I dont think so - the advert says grade 3 - Hamster's picture, although not that clear on my computer, appears to show a far higher grade wood than that. All things being equal this gun appears extremely good value at £800. They are well built. SKB is very popular in the USA. Spares availability is said to be good in USA. You should be aware that SKB has shut up shop in Japan circa 2009/2010 - some Turkish outfit "akus" has done a deal with SKB in america. For what I am not sure.
  12. phone the dealers first as you dont want to get the "haven't got them both in stock but i can order one for you" rubbish look at both side by side and get the dealer to strip them down the build quality can then be seen both can be had for less than £400 new according to guntrader armsan £365 hatsan £330
  13. All I was saying is: This is the product used by Teague and IF you wanted to continue using it, this was the price and supplier I found and used with good service. ATB Matt +1 however you won't get off that easy on here Matt!!
