Ay everybody,im using my trusty old .177 tempest pistol for target shooting in my garden,i fancy a change and really need your help,what would you say is worth spending £250-£300 that will show better results and maybe introduce me to and be useable at club shooting in the future ? Really would appriciate any help :good:

To be fair bud,buy what YOU like,that fits without to much alteration and doesnt depreciate like a butter mountain on mars,its important you go home with a big cheesy grin so try different shops untill you are ready to part with that hard earnt bendy foldy stuff

Is it me,but why dont everyone get the mrs a SGC approximately 1 year after your own,that way there isnt a problem with renewals,a simple change over of ownership for a brief time must be better than risking losing possession ?

10 weeks in,and iv been told theyve just got round to sorting febs applications !!! A further 6 weeks before they get to mine,then of course the visit etc............ I reckon 5 months start to finish in staffordshire :hmm:

Hi,just thought id mention that after using a trap gun for sporting clays iv taken the plunge & bought a new mk38 teague sporter,i tried the demo gun first but hit next to nothing ! Something felt kind of good though,i dont know how to explain this but back in premier gun shop i found myself reaching for my wallet .............Blame the voices in my head or the fact that the mrs was at home allowed me the bravery to get a great deal on a grade 5 (not to be snooty,its bloody lovely),so,take the plunge i did... Today i had a lesson with the demo gun(long story)& shot better than ever,my own gun gets its first outing on thursday. Has anyone else done this before or am i having a mid-life crisis ?

Il back up what HDAV said,my 11 year old 682 gold e trap gun is worth £1800 or more retail,it does sport fine wood,ajustable stock & is hardly used mind.... A very early silver pigeon that i got for the mrs has a completely different stock setup which has saved me any alterations compared to the new version and is far better built.If its been looked after and of good quality,im afraid its going to cost more bud

Just thought id say thanks to premier gunshop,after a couple of lessons using the club gun and plenty of informative advice from both matt and hannah,i bought my mrs a 10yr old s-pigeon to which she shot well today,my point is that the gun was bought privatly,but matt still helped regarding any adjustments that may be needed(shorter recoil pad,thankfully)and paid kind comments regarding her new pride & joy!! Top service from a shop that clearly promotes new clay shooters without any pushy sales patter p.s I did buy the lass a musto jacket while there,rude not to !

I run a ntv650 on car oil & so far its managed 110,000 miles........... But to be fair,i wouldnt use it in my z1000 ,use a quality 10-40 semi-synth oil(i use rockoil),suzi filter & change every 3000mls,you may get clutch probs(slipping)with full synth.
