  1. any one know how to, and does the berrtta gel tec pad fit a franchi 720 raptor
  2. franchis are good guns , have seen the remington 2 of my gun shops have them nice looking gun i would wate and see how the falts if any in them pan out totel new gun and all, from remington the four end looks like a remingtons, to me they look nice the stock is good to the eye , they are lite, the rubber butt pad is a bit like the new inrta franchis , even the yanks are siting back on this one , to see if it will work
  3. the internaional steel proof stamp is a( flur,) u know that thing the frogs have on there roaly standed
  4. raptor 3 inch gas xtrema 3 1/2 inch gas sbe,2, 3 1/2 inch inerta operated must ad the beretta urika 391 3 inch gas and that benelli m 2. 3 inch inerta recoil operated all made by companys owned by beretta, all great guns, get the one that fits u the best, do u need the 3 1/2 inch shell, 3 inch is all most, if not all shooting needs, i have a 3 1/2 i never use the 3 1/2 shell i only ever shoot 3 inch cartages, gas operated guns genrally shoot softer that recoil operated guns regardles of how much geltec they put of the but , i like gas, but some shoot beneills, im shooting a 26 inch 20 gauge franchi raptor, but do like the 391, hevier gun by 1/2 lb than the raptor, it all depends what you are going to use it for, got my franchi for rough shoot phesants weight 6lb on the button , one thing about the franchi is they have a long recever for a 3 inch auto, so a 26 barrled gun is only about 1/2 , 3/4 of an inch shorter than say the same sort of auto by browning or beretta ,in a 28 barrle

    28 gauge

i would give the 28 a go after all u may not get an offer to use a 28 on driven birds for a long while. if u know some one thats into sporting gun mag or maybe look it up on the net theres a very good artical in the january 2004 mag all about the 28 pattens chokes etc and they talk about it being ok out to 45 yards with the right choke shot and ammo cobination plastic wads seam to make a titer patten saying that i took a look at some 28 s a week or so ago o man o man they are not so bigger than a 410 im sticking to my 20
  6. buy a m/c you never know when you will need it for ducks or geese or long range phesant, u never know whats down the road, the diffrence is micro oz, and the gun that fits best  o well teach me not to read the last posts now new gun get out there and use it
  7. ****** it looks as if i cant use my raptor 20 grouse shooting . i shot u/o for years and only in about the last 6 or 7 years did i do the switch , i should have done ityears ago for i now regard a semi as safe as an u/o and im sticking to them all the way now love semis , they are as quick to make safe as a u/o and just push the button and u have a shell siting on the carrier , so all u got to do is pull the bolt back and u are away, 2 shot ,? u cant buy a gun with the same weight and ballance for any thing like the price of a good semi in an u/o, so money :yp: also 2 shells are liter than 3 or 5, the more shells u have in a gun the heaver the gun is the carrie swing and shoulder
  8. i have a big garden but no foxs in new zealand had a vist from a deer once should have shot it it killed one of my trees striped the bark off ,,, lets see , hedhoges , rabbits , black birds thrushers nz birds tuis harriey hawks finchers califorian quail possoms dam wild life thank god i own a shotgun
  9. what about a 20 foot refridgated shipping container docks and shipping lines etc right them off and sell them all the time a bit big but good for partys on hot summer days open of coarse
  10. i dont hang them here its to warm here in northen new zealand ,shoot them, clean them, and in the fridge hate flys , if im late home or ****** , i have a sealed bucket i put my game in, keeps the rats away to, talk about rats any one had a problem of them getting into ducks phesant , when i did have a few ratys around if i left a bird in the garage over night the friggen rats would have a go at , they genarly eat the brains out first ,and **** on the bird to mark it. no rats now but they are a round
  11. found a flaw in my new franchi 20g raptor the rib cross anti glare, you know the file ings , on top of the rib i was ducking under some vines after rabbits and it brushed aganst a post and because of the slight angle i was carrying it , and being a light gun one handed the edge of the rib griped on the post and wanted to act like a saw and dig in which made me try and pull it away and it still griped in the wooden post , freaked me out, and took a tiny little bit of blueing of the edge of my rib, i have checked it aganst my other guns and yes the edge of the rib is more like a fine file edge than any off them , it goes right to the out side and being right handed when i am walking i tend to carry it angled in towards me so the if it comes in contact with any thing its the edge of the rib that makes first contact , im going to have to watch that dont need a pruning saw any more i will just take the shotgun
  12. my guns are clean , and well oiled when i go out hunting , and they never fail, touch wood , depends on the gun and when u are going to use it next , on a blued gun sweat of your hands will rust it so will bird blood A a regula lite gun oil works , and a wipe with an oily rag after handling will keep it in top notch order, im shooting mainly auto, so the mag tube and push arms are allways checked and oiled before i go shooting , i have heard that the rotory bolt of benelli, franchi type needs cleaning and oiling regulary, also on an auto it pays to oil the bolt ejector springs . in fact autos should be cleaned and oiled a bit more than doubles and i like shooting with a clean gun , im a bit of a women on it , if some thing does gos wrong on the shot off the year clean guns can not be blamed bore, with modern chrome lined guns it doesnt matter so much , a wipe out with toleit paper will do, in fact i use it all the time to wipe down , it absorbs water and oil , when messing around with oil u get it all over your hands its this oil that i use to wipe the barrles down with, i generally dont use a rag,a few drops on the barrle then rub it in with my hands then you know how much oil you have on the gun and you can rub it in , . do not over oil the inside of a bore, and wipe all oil of the wood work with a cloth. but allways cheak that your choke tubes are greased and tite in the gun before use, , when a gun is not in great use, it can pay to loosen of the choke tubes so they dont frezze in the barrle expecally on a wet gun or in longish storage like over summer , so all ways titen them before going hunting. RUST NEVER SLEEPS

    T shot

as far as i know T shot is the biggest amercan STEEL shot size u can get eg 2s BB, then T, or bbb then T, LOOK UP FEDERAL AMMO I KNOW THEY PRODUCE T SHOT , never use it in any coking other than very open chokes , no more than, oooooooo i dont know , shell we say 1/4 may be, 1/2, it will blow your barlle t shot is a sizing not a type of metal like tm...........................YANKS
  14. xtrema goose duck gun 3 1/2 inch, who ever shoots 3.5s benalli super black eagle same as above, but a bit liter 3 inch semis most if not all work, and usally lighter than 3.5 the crio benallis look good if they fit , gas is softer to shoot, i think that there is room for more than one semi in ones life , it all depends what u are going to use it for, if for clays and waterfowl then i mit go a 3 inch gun, best gun is the one that fits u the best. browning evolve is nice like the beretta urika , franchi 712 is nice ha ha ha ha ha ha want a question with no end
  15. they almost look like franchis i surpose that they are made just down the road from beretta
