  1. Congrats Mat......its a mare when you cant find them though. All your persistence and dedication finally paid off.
  2. First time on PW for a while and I must comment on this punt..... a truly great looking punt sir....your skills are exceptional. I congratulate you on a first class job.
  3. Well done mate....I have the Greylag 10. A solid built gun that should give you yrs of fowling pleasure.
  4. Wildfowler..........Stay clear of the petrol models and get yourself a diesel. I`ve had two and for the money you cant beat them. Very underrated off road and as a 4x4 in general. There`s a lot of badge snobbery as far as 4x4`s go and the Suzuki GV has one of the most reliable diesel engines on the market My 1.9 diesel averages around 37 mpg which for a 4x4 is good going.
  5. Myself and a mate were only talking about this a few nights ago after an evening flight on the Nene washes. I just might give it a bash now!!.....Kent......what paint did you use mate?
  6. That's cracking mate......Nice pics of master and his dog with the days bag.
  7. Tempted to join Ely myself..... Really enjoyed the Ouse washes when my club WWC leased a couple of fields there a few yrs back. Do they still have the fields over at Waterbeach?
  8. Teal for both taste and sport. The Teal I shoot are from inland Washes and taste superb.
  9. I`d forgotten about the current as I shoot inland Washes which pose no problem so you may have a point mate.
  10. ******.....just missed out!!!!
  11. Steve, have you thought about an electric outboard?. I have a 54 thrust Yamaha that I run off a leisure battery. I also carry a fully charged standard 12v car battery as back up. Its so quite which can have its advantages. Also its extremely pokey for an electric. Love your boat anyway, the best of luck come the season.
  12. Yep....absolutely cracking decoys I was lucky enough to buy 18 of the GHG [Greenhead Gear] ones from a carboot at half the price. Used them end of last season and with the added caller pulled a fair few right into the decoys. The quality is excellent so should last a few yrs.
  13. September cant arrive quick enough for me. Yes, the weather isn't ideal and insect life a pain in the rear but I still enjoy being out on the washes. A Mallard that's been feeding on stubble is one of the tastiest birds of the season.
