  1. What does everyone do with the birds they shoot if the farmer doesnt have a means of getting rid of them. I know people would throw the odd crow in hedge for a fox but what does people do with the big numbers they shoot? I would love to know is there anywhere i can bring dead crows etc to get rid off from both the farmer and my way by keeping everywhere clean and free from dead birds. cheers
  2. I have tried many carts and found that GB 30g 6's seem to do the job over decoys and even birds approx 60 yards away. I originally used the GB 32g 6's and as 2 of my friends swore by the 30's I changed and have never looked back. Worst cartridge has to be FOB chasse, I opened a few different sizes etc and the lead was a mixed bag of small and large. I also tried 28's and found that on decoy days they were fine over the pattern but lacked the knockdown that the 30'd give me for those stray crows etc. My humble opinion is GB 30g 6's are a great middle ground
  3. ok looks like scotland would be a lot less hassle cheers
  4. when shooting cartridges at paper what is the data im looking for?
  5. in your gun case or one of your decoy/equipment bags
  6. cheers for the great replies guys, If I am to pattern both my gun/cartridges along with my fathers semi auto what should I be looking for on paper to know what is best combo etc with choke cartridge?

  9. I am pretty much a newbie to shotguns and chokes etc and would love someone or some peoples advice on what they are for and when to use them. skeet, half, quarter, three quarter, full When do I use what? I mostly shoot pigeons over decoys as well as crows, I also like to take the odd shot at the bird that up in the sky not showing any interest to the decoys, What do I use for those birds that I see when walking the hedgerows and that appear in the sky above me? Sorry for all the questions and hopefully I'll be a bit more knowledgable about chokes etc after this. My gun is a bettinsolli diamond, 30 inch barrels and multi choke. Cheers in advance, Ps, does barrel lenght have any affect on distance and pattern etc?
  10. I have owned my bettonsoli diamond for a while now and must say out of all the guns I have owned and shot belonging to mates I love my gun Came with a crackin case and multi choke etc etc, I highly recommend and to be honest when i researched guns I heard horror stories about many. I think bettonsoli guns have a 10 year warranty.
  11. Could you tell me more about the sillouette decoys and how you go about making them What chokes and cartridge combo do you recommend as I new to multi choke and havent a clue what to use etc. cheers
  12. cheers people, will call to the house next day im heading out. You would think with double glazing etc there wouldnt be much noise at the given range of about 140 yards .
  13. cheers guys, The problem is that some of the houses dotted around the country or non farm/country people who decided they will build houses in the lovely countryside but dont want any of the country life. The farmer who owns all the barley surrounding the houses has told me that his land and crops were there well before them and that he would like them protected from pest etc and if any of these people have a problem then tell them to clear off. I would like to know my legal distance to quote to anyone if I do get tortured from them or if the police show up someday.
  14. Anyone have any idea what distance you must be from someones property while decoying etc Just would like to know as on one of the stubbles I shoot theres a house about 100 yards away behind me and I always shoot with my back to the hedge shootin away from the house/hedgerow.

  20. Perhaps one of the pigeon gods could explain it better for me as Im a novice and my coach must be teaching people wrong? I look forward to learning the right way to lead pigeons
  21. Goes to show the ones that disagree with the video are the ones that feel the need to tell us all what guns they own in there signature Bet they are the ones that have only had there permit a short while and couldn't hit a barn door
  22. I see that the pigeon gods dont approve of my animation, When I started pigeon shooting this is what I was shown by a very succesful coach. Of corse all pigeons dont fly like this but it aint meant to be a hollywood animation, Its simple a simple idea of sight picture and lead for some beginner who searchs "how to shoot a pigeon". Point me to another better video showing and explaining lead as slow and up close as this?
  23. Hi all I put together a animation to help show people what they should see when they mount a over and under and also how I give lead to pigeon when shooting with a shotgun
