    Net Zero

As the world's population grows more industry is required to feed and clothe them also house's need to built usually on agriculture land so less area to feed them but where does all the extra energy come from to drive all this. We are stood on countless millions of £s of cheap energy that could be used to provide power and some diverted to fund the green stuff but the eco loons point blank refuse to use it even if it helps achieve their aim. As others have said it's the poorest people who feel the pain of the enforced tax to pay for it , the wealthy can bump their gums about it but but they will still carry on as they are.
  4. Best liver and onions I have ever had was year's ago when we stayed in the Crown and Woolpack in Long Sutton, from memory I think the landlady was called Monica, really nice lady and superb cook.
  5. Glad it worked out for the dog 👍
  6. Empty as an MPs promise, the leigenella problem should only have taken a day to resolve.
  7. I could not find anything regarding it so I cut some stainless steel and covered all of the bottom of it then drilled a hole in the centre to take a spring.
  8. I'm not thinking of going my knee would never stand it, it was watching my own dog's reaction to the heat that got me wondering how dog's on grouse moors dealt with it
  9. Every day's a school day I didn't realise that there would be quite a few opportunities for the dog's to cool down, it was todays temperature here in mid Derbyshire it was 31 c that got me wondering. Never thought about dog's abroad all makes sense.
  10. Who beats with their dog on grouse moors, as I've never done but I am aware of the distance some have to cover how do the dogs fair especially when it is really hot. I assume that bottles of water are carried but isn't there a danger of the dogs over heating.
  11. I've been tasked with repairing an old Solway feeder, replacing the legs was easy enough but here's the problem the bottom has about 30 1/2 hole's in the bottom. That is so I believe is how it's supposed to be relying on the weight of the wheat not to let it just pour out. Have any of you got one or used one as I can't help but think there should be some sort of plate underneath. I have looked on the internet but as of yet not seen any images to help me out. If necessary I can plate over the bottom and just fit a spring but I was hoping to get it to work as originally designed.
  12. Yes he's doing well ,will be there again next Wednesday
  13. We set off around 1pm to try and shoot a few pigeon on some wheat stubble. This is the first time Tom has been out shooting like this bareing in mind he's only 22 months old, with the decoys out and we settled in the hide it wasn't long before the first pigeon came near but missed never mind as for me it's more about how the dog reacts. With quite a few misses and a few shot and Tom never moved not even figiting about. I did let him have a couple of retrieves including his first runner,he did pick it up albeit a bit scruffy. This continued for the 3 and a half hour's we have been out. It was only near the end of the session when I had a couple of minor indiscretions for which I didn't mind,we shot around 30 pigeon and missed a lot more but more importantly Tom did very well.
  14. Yes please I will PM my address
  15. We do 2 each year at Joe Nevilles, fair enough it's not really like a driven game day but it's a good day out shooting lot's of clay's and if you have a bit of a problem Joe will help you understand why it's good practice though ready for the game season.
  16. I got one from Aldi for that very reason and it works very well, you do use a bit of the coating by spraying but it's so much quicker, I think I paid £40 for it . It came with 2 different paint pot's for different paint.
  17. What a lovely reminder for Ted well done all involved.
  18. All the credit is for my Mrs she does a very nice jam and cream sponge for the shoot day's, but date and walnut is my favourite I will have to have a hefty slice after tea.
  19. Date and walnut just come out the oven
