  1. A very satisfying transaction. Some good discussion and a satisfying purchase at the end of it all....just have to shoot it now Thanks again. Mark
  2. What, that he'll turn out to be a top notch chef and have his own restaurant one day....? The good: My lovely wife renewed my sub to Rifle Shooter and got me a no. 7 Aussie bayonet dated 1942 to go with my 1942 Lithgow SMLE. My sister bought me a salt and pepper set shaped like shotgun cartridges. The bad: she was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy the Friday before Xmas. Now a couple of months of wait to see how it mends itself. Has shown me (again) what a wonderful, strong woman she is. All the best. Mark
  3. For around £650 new and including all the usual bits and a 3 year guarantee, not too bad a deal. A friend of mine bought his first shotgun recently and went for a new Betinsolli. my first gun a few years ago now was a Betinsolli after shooting a friends, but I decided to go second hand as was getting into Section 1 too. All round they are pretty good guns, but you make your choice and pay your money. Regards Mark
  4. Just bought myself a CZ 527 FS in .222 and, as it was scoped, it has no rear sight. It has been removed to give clearance for the scope, which seems to be quite common. So, if anyone has one lying around due to removing it to fit a scope, then drop me a pm if you want to get rid. Thanks Mark
  5. A mate of mine has used them quite extensively, from the conversations we have had. For rifles, shottie cartridges and general shooting accessories. I think he primarily goes to the Handcross branch. Regards Mark
  6. I have a Nexus and love it. Have Galaxy Tabs also, but needed something with more power. The limited storage is not a major issue as most stuff sits in the ether anyway and I have an unlimited data contract on my phone, which I tether the Nexus to . 8GB @ £150, 16GB @ £199 Regards Mark
  7. Life just gets better and better. People say "if you could be 20 again with your knowledge and the salary you are on now, would you?". My answer is pretty much at 20 I knew everything, at 30 I realised I was too old to know everything and after 40 I just keep on learning, new experiences, new friends and new knowledge. Hell, I only took up shooting this year! Like a lot of people have said here, life is what you make of it. Regards Mark (43 in a couple of months, for the record)
  8. Nice spec. Bought myself a Chillblast at Christmas of roughly equivalent spec. then and have been very pleased with it. Mine has 24GB RAM as I run a lot of virtualised test labs (geek!) and such like and a Z68 series motherboard so I use the 64GB SSD as an in-line cache for the 2TB main drive. Enjoy! Mark
