  1. Fair enough , I get that it's acceptable if it's for pest control . Maybe they are a bit trigger happy in my area of Northern Ireland lol. It was always said that if a dog has tasted warm/live blood it would do it again because of their nature . Just thought I'd ask here to get other people's opinion . Cheers guys Plus I do be pretty happy with the presents my cat delivers to my porch although the wife isn't to pleased .
  2. Ps , I'm not a dog hater I have 2 of my own , one sleeps on my bed
  3. No it's not a wind up , where I'm from if a dog broke out and killed a farmers lamb it would be put down . Just different ways of doing things I suppose . I don't think it's in every dogs nature , when my goat was killed the brother of the dog did not take part in the killing . The dog who done the killing stood in my yard ripping the throat out of the goat . You say it shouldn't be punished for such an aggressive act of behaviour your deluded . If any of my nieces or nephews had of been around can you say that dog wouldn't have attracked the when it's blood was up ? It went for my dad and aunt before it was shot .
  4. Hi guys I hope this is the right forum for this question. I have been having a debate with a guy I work with , his mother in laws jack Russell has killed a few of his chickens and refuses to admit the dog shouldn't have done it , I was under the impression if a dog has killed another animal he should put down . A neighbours dog broke out and killed a pet goat I had and the neighbour didn't hesitate in putting his dog down . Another guy at work says his jack Russell has killed a few rabbits when he takes it out for walks but is insistent this is normal behaviour for his dog . Any feedback on this matter would be appreciated Shane
  5. Was this with the standard magazine or the extended 1?
  6. Why what happened to yours?
  7. I recently traded in my logun mk2 for a Remington 597 Anybody got this rifle any tips or tricks I could use? My logun was a learning experience in gun care/maintenance/repairs 😊
  8. Yes I'm assuming its the thread on the moderator , when I'm looking down the barrel it doesn't seem twisted or bent
  9. Yea but I originally thought it was the baffles inside the silencer but it turns out that the silencer was out of line , how would you resolve his issue?
  10. Hi guys , so I posted on here before about silencer debris and I thought I had it sorted by changing the baffles but 2 weeks ago for no apparent reason I couldn't hit the side of a barn if I tried , I kept thinking the scope must have had a knock but when I was cleaning it I took the barrel out and looked through it I could see a quarter moon shape at the end , this is obviously the silencer , I was reluctant to drill it out as advised but I did and now when screwed on it seems my pellets now have a clear path , I haven't fired it yet cause I replaced the seals in the barrel a while ago but they have degraded badly and 1 defiantly needs replaced , getting seals locally is ambit of a nightmare but ill get it sorted and get back to yous with my results

    Pellet swerve

I'm using bisley magnums , the pellet gauge that came with the gun has a 2 on it , according to the manual that is the gauge for these pellets , I'll try drilling out the silencer on mon , Thanks for the help

    Pellet swerve

As I said in an earlier post I was finding debris inside my silencer and I couldnt find the proper sized plastic washer so I used the same diameter metal 1s so this tells me there's been a problem with this gun before I got it , So all I need to do is make sure the knitting needle doesn't touch the sides of the silencer and if it does it's out of line , Is this easily solved our do I need to send it to a gun smith ? If I drilled out the metal washers to 7mm would it help?
  13. I know this might sound weird but bear with me I was test firing my logun into a 10 meter airgun target from roughly 33 yards and as my gun emptied the air cylinder myth pellets seemed to be swerving to the right and high before coming back in on target , sometimes this was dead centre sometimes it was way off mark Any advice??
  14. Cheers I'll get them replaced and see what happens
  15. Ok I took the silencer apart again and I found plastic washers or should I say the remains of plastic washers in between each spring 1 was an oval shape and all where broken so I just removed them and screwed the silencer back together the springs sounded loose at first but settled down and theres no rattle now I have also fitted a new Nikko stirling mountmaster 3-9x50 scope and I'm now using Bilsen magnum pellets and apart from the occasional jam I'm putting pellet on pellet from 45 yards , I checked the silencer after 50 pellets and there was no debris so I'm hoping it's sorted now Would the plastic washers that I removed be that critical?
