Yeah same on this one buddy , I've been told if fitting a scope to it to be careful as the solder can break and the strip become loose or fall off altogether . Worth a try though just going to be used at a 25 yd indoor range for my lad .

Yeah spoke to my father it did have open sights originally ( now missing ) but does look like it has a rail on top similar to hw77 but not as long. All I can do is try some mounts see if I can get them to fit , my lad is struggling with the weight of the hw77 and this would be ideal for him when were both target shooting rather than him sat bored.Your right it is as basic an air rifle as you can get but shoots alright for something older than me 😄

Need some help my father has just brought a Webley jaguar .177 around he had this rifle as a child himself and is passing it down to my son . It does need refurbishing stock and barrel and strip and clean. The main question I have is can I mount a scope to this rifle and does anyone know what size the mounts would be. I already have a hw77 which my lad shoots well but he can't cock the rifle and struggles with the weight but he can cock the jaguar were they less ft lbs or is the spring probably shot. Thanks.

I've own my Lanber sporter for 2 years plus , bought it second hand never had a single problem .

I have a benelli m1 super 90 use it mainly for pigeons when in the hide, have used it on clays and thought I shot it as good as the o/u and it does seem to feel more comfortable than the o/u .

Pictures of the shotgun to be swapped would be an advantage aswell.

Guys just an update I have bought a weihraunch hw77 really pleased with it , i haven't been able to get out in the field with it yet but had a couple of sessions down the range with my lad , although it s a little heavy for him to hold up once its on a rest he's a great shot really taken to it . Thanks guys for the advise , I'm not restricted to the local seller just wondering which of the said guns were the best buy . I would be using the gun for rabbits maybe pigeons and rat control and my son would use it for target shooting whilst I'm at the clay ground , and if he likes it I would look at buying him a pcp just don't want to spend alot for him to not use it and leave it in the cabinet gathering dust.
