the annual hoxne 40 bird sporting is to be held on the sunday the 2nd of september 11am till 4pm, Richardson's of Halesworth are again providing the traps clays and cartridges which are to be strictly fibre wad only, also available is a pool shoot and a have a go stand for non gun owners to try their hand. All proceeds are being raised for local charities refreshments tea's hotdogs etc will be on site. just a short note to thank all those that attended again this year, bit windy towards the end of the day but we had 186 cards for the day a great result for the two charities involved

oh but the pool shoot wil have some random coloured exploding clays, first 10 people to hit one will get a free fish and chip supper from ed's fish n chip van !!

sorry for the late reply i didnt get notification of the reply, there is a ladies class though ! last year the rounds were £13 for the first round £11 for the second and am awaiting conformation that it will be the same this year, not sure if the down the line will go ahead but the pool shot is and will have some random exploding clays that win you a fish and chip supper if you hit one !!!

thanks guys not enough thought went into the pricing me thinks !!! thank heavens for the burger stand !! next year (did i just say next year) we may have a mini game fair to run along side the clay shoot maybe, there is one at the suffolk show ground this weekend so may well have a look see for ideas

many thanks to anyone that came to the hoxne 40 bird sporting last sunday was such hard work !!! and it rained hard at 2pm but all in all we were only 7 cards down on last year, in a difficult side wind the winner still shot a fabulous 39 out of 40 !!! question i would like to ask you all is what is the average cost of a 40 bird sporting card at the moment?? we were charging £13 for the first round and £11 for the second but to be honest it isnt enough without making money on hot dog sales etc that is break even level but one can only charge what is the average so what is the average? once again many thanks alan
