  1. Hi Andy any chance of the data on the 28 bore loads for the csb0 powder loads please
  2. MEC mk 5 jr 410 2.5 inch die set for sale this die set was removed from my mk 5 jnr press last Friday so all parts are present £90.00
  3. You made the same type as me then mine were exactly the same with the O ring groove to centre in the barrel they were brilliant I was called everything on here by some people when I said I had made them I was told it was illegal , they had to be sent for proof testing they had to have serial no,s , and be entered on a certificate i was a tight **** as cartridges were cheap etc etc you know how it goes
  4. Yes you can I shoot black powder 2,5 inch cartridges in my father's old Joseph Bourne 12 bore nitro proof hammer gun the smoke the flash and the report surely a change from nitro I,m sure i can see the ghost col peter hawker giving me a appreciative nod when I fire it lol
  5. I turned my own on the lathe out of mild steel they were quite substantial 12 to 410 and 12 to 20 bore a pair of each I machined them so they were 8 inches long not to difficult to do if you can use a lathe they worked great , the 410 especially shot great patterns at 30 yards the 20 bore wasn't to bad though alas both pairs went with the lamber o/u when i sold it 10 years ago
  6. They are the extended type v3 chokes with the thread at the bottom of the choke I've tried that no luck there and the guy I spoke to at Edgar bros was as confused as me as to what was compatible so I gave up at the time it was 3 or 4 years ago now mind to my limited knowledge hatsan has used three or 4 different types of thread on their chokes for the escorts over the years
  7. What is the comparable thread type for the hatsan 12 bore v3 choke as nobody seems to be singing from the same hymn sheet on this topic it seems some say its remchoke , others say its benelli/Beretta and optima the list is endless I would like to put this question to bed for good if it's possible
  8. I bought a new 200 bar cylinder direct from huma air in holland last year for my hatsan AT4410 with a fitted regulator I think I waited about a fortnight for it to turn up
  9. the updated regulator " if its the same reg thats being sold by a two certain companies then its longer than the standard rotex reg so it wont drop into the stock due to the air gauge , reg , and bottle being longer so it wont fit without some major stock surgery
  10. Well after all that messing about with that piece of rubbish (the milbro guardian) I ended up buying a walther rotex RM8 ultra carbine in 22 instead For 50 quid extra ok a bit on the heavier side granted but bullet proof And a tack driver at 50 yards and more importantly no issues with no loss of air so I'm happy

    Presslug

Hi does anyone know if the above presslug comes complete with the flat base and dish base punches only I've asked a number of vendors this exact question but so far I've had no replies from anyone
  12. Hi all Anyone got a die set for a mec 600 junior mk 5 in 28 bore for a sale or exchange for a 410 2 1/2 inch die set
  13. Ian Charlton who owned claygame reloaders as it was called back in the 80s and 90s stated in his catalogue that charge bars could be made to fit the bowman machines as well as other mec bits and bobs like 6 and 8 point crimpers , wad fingers , shot and powder bottles etc
  14. I beg to differ they can be reloaded in a SHTF suitation though you can buy a reloading kit from the states bit tedious mind you Your not going to load a brick of ammo in a hurry mind you but the concept does work though a 1 lb of unique would load thousands of the ******* lol.
  15. I,ve Had mine for 5 years Has fired everything i have ever fed it never fails eject and cycles every time Only gripe I have is you have to keep a eye that the chokes are screwed in tightly other than that I love mine
  16. I had a yukon mounted on my howa I had to take it off and sell it I only used it twice had severe migraines ( 2 really debilitating headaches) after using it on both occasions the worst thing I ever bought I,ve gone back to using a lamp
  17. An update on this subject. I had the milbro guardian in 22 cal replaced with a new one out of the box in exchange for the one that was dumping the air pressure and guess what the replacement gun developed exactly the same problem dumping its air once the pressure drops below 100 bar again and before someone says its the result of overcharging the air cylinder is not i insisted that the replacement was test fired in shop it too failed at approx 98 bar So my conclusion is to have a brand new one develope a problem out of the box is bad luck , to have the replacement develop exactly the same issue points to a design flaw , poor quality internals or bad batch So my advise is buyer beware I cannot recommend one of these to anyone stear clear of them and save yourself 9 months of frustration that's how long it's taken to get refunded The shop owner has been great the distributor however has been a nightmare excuses all the way
  18. Hiya I would have thought this kilo would be from about the same vintage 2004/2005 pity we couldnt go back in time eh 28.50 a kilo I,'ve had a good evening at the bench and had everything on had to load a few 3 inch csb0 410 loads to try out
  19. Thanks a lot guys I honestly thought I was going to be stuck with this powder I bought a load of reloading gear which consisted of a load of steel loading components and 1 kg of this powder plus a load of other reloading stuff about 7 or 8 years ago just out of interest when was this powder manufactured and marketed as i couldn't seem to find a lot of data on it I usually use the vectan A range of powders as I have a couple of kilo,s of each on hand
  20. Andy H Any chance you could find me the 20 bore data I find I'm using the 20 bore and 410 a lot more now than the 12 if I'm honest cheers mate Andy
  21. Brilliant 28 and 20 bore as well Christ that powder is a lot more versatile than I thought it would be then I,'ll have to have a search around for some data Cheers mate
  22. I used to get the catalogue from Ian every year the data was always in the last couple of pages in the back I could never get my head around the postal charges though lol
  23. Well I'm quite shocked by that clay and game are charging for that loading data then I thought they would have published a lot newer stuff than that some of those loads would be donkeys years old by now
  24. Yeah Ian charlton always published his load data at the end of his catalogue back in the day when the business was in Antons gowt in Boston lincs
