  1. If you must know heres the reason why . My mothers death , funeral arrangements, covid lockdown , expired shotgun certificate , no office staff to issue a temporary certificate, and an employer who wasnt very understanding at the time because i was a key worker it all came together in march so I had a lot on my plate at the time It was the perfect storm a comedy of errors i suppose you couldnt really write it for a two ronnies comedy sketch tbh I've had my certificates back that bit is sorted out I'm irratated by the fact that they sent them to a RFD 60 miles away when my local RFD is 10 miles down the road that's my point
  2. All this stemmed from the covid lockdown in March in short red tape that was the problem in my case its all sorted out now and I've had my certificates i just want my guns back that's all
  3. Why indeed I wasn't consulted on it if I was I would have opted for the sportsmans in Newport thats only10 miles away from me not keeans in Bridgend its a 123 mile round trip
  4. can anyone shed any light on this problem for me My issuing force Gwent police sent my shotguns to a gun shop in Bridgend in july for storage its a long story but nothing serious I have spoken my local gun shop and RFD this morning and they have told me that guns are usually sent to them for storage in the gwent area So technically they should never have been sent out of the gwent force area in the first place due to the covid 19 restrictions If this is the case have I got a case to demand that gwent police reimbursed me for the cost and transfer fees for shipping my guns back to me which is going to cost me a small fortune by the sound of things technically in Wales I'm not allowed to travel to Bridgend to collect them because i have to travel through a number of boroughs to get there would anyone know a way around this

  9. 7.5x55 Swiss cases are the same if you want to be authentic just trim to 53 mm but yes 7.5x55 will chamber no problem due to the generous chamber specs as the original 7.5x53 bullet being paper patched I had one a big ole beast with that 12 round mag I.ve yet to see one in bad condition considering there age beautiful triggers on them pretty accurate to and generally all matching serial numbers I might have a spare paste board charging clip for it if your interested they are as rare rocking horse **** nowadays
  10. Mmm Seen that before with remington s/r primers but never with cci, primers soft batch of primer cup metal perhaps I dunno to be honest
  11. That's the problem with this lockdown now in Wales we can't travel out of our respective borough's now to look at anything the powers that be are policing it pretty hard at the moment not many rfds in Caerphilly county unfortunately 😤😤😤
  12. heads up lads just received my autumn 2020 copy of the muzzle loaders association magazine black powder and on pages 40 and 41 bev keeble has an article on how to make a roll turn over head to fit a drill chuck just thought it might be of interest to the reloader s out there
  13. Sits do you know anyone who is a member of the mlagb I.ve just received my copy of the autumn 2020 magazine and on page 40 and 41 there's an article by bev keeble on how to make one for a 410 by the look of it thought it might be of interest
  14. Hi the problem I.ve got in my area is the lack of gun shops everything is outside the borough so I can't travel technically so lets just say the police etc are policing this latest lockdown rather strictly so I'm stuffed at the moment
  15. My variation has finely come back yes after 5 months lol so does anyone know what dealer is offering the best deal on a new 223 howa varmint rifle I.ve taken quite a shine to the howa

  17. Umm no lol 100 % noooooooo read the hmrc statement on it Its only legal in new zealand as far as I'm aware to distill spirits at home for personal consumption That would be a custom man's wet dream if they caught you here in the uk belive me lol
  18. Dunno it could be a bullace very similar to sloe you don't seem to have the long blackthorns on them but can be used the same way as sloes
  19. Hope you dont mind me chiming in but gentleman please don't put spirits in plastic bottles use a kilner jar or glass demijohn There's a reason high proof spirits come in glass and not plastic bottles high proof can leach out the nasties in the plastic Enough said I think lol
  20. Your better off with the mec to be honest like i said Keep your eye on eBay USA some reasonable ones on there second hand same for used mec die sets and chargebars if you do your homework
  21. Personally I'd forget the load all( too much plastic ) get yourself a nice mec mk 5 jnr for simplicity its more substantial than the loadall plus you can then buy the die sets for different bores with the loadall your stuck with 12 or 20 bore unless they do other conversion kits for them now personally I found too much vibration and movement on the loadall for consistent powder charges and the crimps were never fantastic on the one I had That's just my personal insight mind you i.m talking about 30 years ago when i bought mine so they could be better quality now I got a 12 bore loadall and 20 bore conversion kit for sale if your interested in one don't want a lot for it haven't used it for years I'm a mec man myself I love the lee reloading gear just not the loadall sorry guys lol
  22. Get a the reloading kit you won't regret it You can then design a load suitable for your particular gun i load for my Mossberg and since changing back to plastic wads i dont have any problems now
  23. Got a couple of hundred or so of those empties kicking about under my loading bench somewhere my pacific 366 auto loading press thrived on those empties it loaded a beautiful shell with them
  24. In theory you can face prosecution for violating 3 firearms acts in great Britain and they are the 1920 firearms act the 1939 firearms act the 1968 firearms act strange but true the courts have been known to trawl through all 3 acts to get a conviction however petty the so called offence to have firearm and shotgun certificates revoked in the past
