  1. Midland gun services. Did the wife's custom stock. Made a nice job of it.
  2. Try looking for a folding 410. Our yildiz was only 80quid or something like that. Chopped a bit off the stock and it does fit him ok with a comb raiser. The trouble we have is the ear defenders get in the way a bit and he's left eye dominant as he tries to crank his head over the stock. Really I should try and get him to shoot off the left shoulder. Some static clays or balloons on sticks keeps them entertained. Best of luck.
  3. My lad is 6 and of November and has shot since turning just turning 4. Only one or two carts a week and he uses a cut down yildiz folding .410. Also put a rubber comb raiser on for him and a softer pad. He can shoot going away targets and the odd very slow incomer. We normally just stand some clays up and he pots them at various distances. He is tall for a 5 year old but even the weight of the 410 can get too much so we do limit him to only a few shots a week.
  4. Yes he has a yildiz .410 single barrel. Had his first go before his 4th birthday then left it until he was around 4 and a half. He maybe has 3 or 4 shots every time we go which is most weekends. Some weekends he doesn't fancy it so we don't push him. He's a good shot so far. Just on static clays at the moment. Will be on slow incomers soon. Keeps him from being bored whilst we shoot. He's good on the buttons too lol.
  5. My boy has just turned 5 and knows how to remove his gun from his slip, how to carry it correctly and safely. Little lads only take a split second to be distracted so I'm always right behind him when shooting clays or even carrying it just to be sure it's done correctly. Come boxing day or over Christmas we will see many adults swinging loaded or unloaded closed guns around for their once a year shoot ( normally with 5 or 6 members of the family sharing one gun) and non of them have no idea, Now that does get scary.
  6. Hi there, I had to buy some for the wife's blaser, They are APC (Accu Part Code): SHK-M3-6-A4 Description: M3 x 6mm Hexalobular / Torx Countersunk Screws (DIN 965) - A4 Stainless Steel Quantity: 10 Unit Price: £0.20 I got them from accu.co.uk Hope that helps.
  7. There is no "Big rip off in the heating trade" People charge what they want to get the jobs, some might be mad busy and put a silly price in to put people off then hey ho the customer agrees to the price, some are desperate for work and put a cheap price In to get the job as they need the cash. I wouldn't put a cheapo boiler from screwfix in so I wouldn' even price the job. I fit the best Worcester (cdi classic) and thats that. A straight swap round this area is around 2k including 29cdi classic, filter, clock and flue and labour.
  8. My lad just had his first shot on his .410 and he's coming up to age 4 in November lol.

I've been looking at the arlo hd set up. Seems to get some good reviews and wireless too.
  10. I was reading something about this last week on another forum, guy gets price for phone and describes it accurately, magpie get phone and say it's not as he described it and enclosed pictures, something like screen burn or something lol, his phone was only a couple of months old and was in excellent condition. They offered a real low price but he just asked for the phone back.

Customer bought full bathroom from them, bath arrived with no legs and took a good week to get a replacement set which held up the job. Also on another job some of the pottery arrived broken but replacements were sent very quickly.
  12. All I use is multi panel too. Think we last fitted the deluxe version. Solid stuff that slots together in large sheets, weighs a tonne and makes a cracking job.
  13. Must have been one of the lower speccd ones.!!The wb cdi classic that I'm on with at the moment retails at trade 1300quid plus vat! Plus clock etc ! A basic combi to combi swap I do is usually £2000. That's a wb 29cdi classic and basic time clock. A system swap conventional boiler to combi is from £2500 upwards depending on things like gas pipework, condense pipework etc. The job needs to be seen as there are so many variables.
  14. Same here. When the Rac wouldn't come to get my dad's Van going I just phoned my AA breakdown and they came and got it running with no quibbles. Bearing in mind my dad had been a member of the Rac for probably 30yrs plus and paid up on time every year with no quibbling on price they still wouldn't send a man out as a gesture of goodwill "you've not paid for home start" or whatever its called.!!
  15. I suppose Green flag depend on the local mechanic being competent to fix or diagnose the fault. The reason we got rid was that my wife was stuck at the side of the road in the winter for the breakdown guy to diagnose the fault as the fuel pump wasn't getting power. Hmm well it's a mechanical pump not Electric pump lol. Also getting recovered by truck was strange, the distance was from where the recovery truck was coming from not from where you broke down. Eg. You wanted taking home after breaking down, say 20 miles and paid for recovery for upto 20miles when you took out the policy but the truck travelled 10 miles to get to you so could only take you 10 miles before charges were added!! It was a while back now but put us off them for life so just barter with the AA every year and get a good price.
