  1. I think I will get out my foxpro caller actually. I didn't have much luck with it during the winter but now the lambs are out it might work its magic.
  2. Everyone keeps saying that. What do you mean?
  3. Anyone else make it this year? It's a great place to meet up with old friends ...
  4. My mate Tom got his first squirrel, I was amazed he hadn't shot one before!
  5. He got away unfortunately, to be fair he was a good 40 - 50 yards away.
  6. It was surprisingly good fun 😊 https://youtu.be/o6O9Sda5GsM
  7. I had a few 32 gram number 5 and would say they perform much better than number 6's through the branches.
  8. I only got a couple of birds but it was good fun
  9. Not paper no although I did do a video shooting a 6 inch gong with it at 200 yards in my most recent video with varmintshootersuk.
  10. It does take a while to break in, I had the same with my Browning shotgun. The Mirouku factory much build to close tolerances. Glad to be back although the new format of pigeonwatch doesn't seem to let you embed youtube videos?
  11. Despite the heavy trigger the Browning T-Bolt is pretty accurate ... https://youtu.be/mOSHAMr0woI
  12. A guy i grew up around who is on my facebook is a flat earther. He's not terribly bright and still lives with his mum approaching 40. He is always posting flat earth stuff on facebook. I had to bite on one post and I posted him a link for the live feed from the international space station. He said it was fake put there to trick us!

    Food banks.

No that isn't 'unregulated capitalism' it is heavily regulated government run economics. Centralized power be it through banks or corporations is created through government regulation. And those banks and corporations lobby government to create even more regulation because they know their competitors can't afford to abide by it and so ensures they get a monopoly. Unfettered capitalism benefits everyone because there is no centralized monopoly and the money is far more spread out. That's why if i did the same job i do here in the UK in pretty much any state in America I would be earning more than four times as much money.
  14. I just went to the dentist this morning because part of one of my molars is broken. They put some stuff in it and charged me 20 quid. But the dentist said it needs to come out eventually because its actually a baby tooth and has no roots and there is no adult tooth underneath it. So I asked him how much would it cost to remove it and put a false one in. There were a couple of options but to do it properly it will cost me two grand!!! This is a NHS dentist what do I pay my taxes for? Exactly, this really annoys me. I very rarely ever ask the NHS for a penny and have paid full time income tax since i was 17 years old and now they want two grand off me to get a false tooth?!?!
  15. You know my section 1 shotgun was put down for practical, clays and vermin and to be honest i pretty much exclusively use it for Pigeon shooting now.
  16. It's not genuinely the advertisers, youtube are choosing who it allows to make certain content. For instance if a 'news' network covers a story about say terrorism then they are monitised. But if an independent journalist or commentator covers the exact same story they will get demonitised. South Park is on mainstream TV with advertising and if those guys themselves put clips etc on youtube they are monitised but if a normal person uses a clip from southpark they will be demonitised for swearing etc. So this is all a bit dodgy. I have had videos demonitised and age restricted so I appealed saying they do not contradict youtubes policies. They reply and say that whilst they don't contradict their policy they are demonitising it anyway. Google/youtube changed their algorithms to promote Hilary Clinton during the last US election as well. The thing is youtube doesn't actually make a profit it generally breaks about even it's value to google isn't what it appears to be.
  17. That is in reference to illegal weapons like flick knives etc which are currently legal to keep at home despite being illegal generally it's nothing to do with legal firearms.
  18. Yes you could prove you had experience ... I never said it was unlawful? I said it was against the home office guidelines. This means if there is a problem with the person who gets the ticket the licensing department are screwed and most jurisdictions know this.
  19. It's not a question of the 'law' it is the home office guidance and yes a lot of forces don't follow it correctly due to ignorance mostly. Those that don't risk all losing their jobs if something goes wrong.
  20. Right I took mine out today for a trial run looking for Pheasants. I didn't find any but I did shoot at a lot of Woodpigeon taking an interest in some black beans. I missed a LOT now I can't say that the sight made me any worse but it certainly didn't improve things for me. I can see the logic though, I tested mine on a post and the red dot is right in the middle of the pattern and if you look straight down the rib the dot is aligned with the bead so if your sight picture is above the rib then the red dot rises showing you exactly how high it will shoot. I will have to try it again to see if I have better luck.
  21. That paragraph is in reference to the previous mentioned calibres for shooting foxes and Deer. Everything from .220 swift upwards. The fact is you DO need to prove experience in the field to have any of those calibres. It's not like I haven't been through this with the very guy from BASC who co wrote the guidance! My argument was I had been shooting .22lr in the field for two years and so I met the requirements. And after threatening West Mercia with legal action and reporting them to the PCC I won and I now have a .243 with a 500 round limit. So all of you saying you don't need experience for a centrefire you are wrong and the guidance is as plain as day.
