  1. Done some ribs twice. (Not recommended) You can strap youself up. Might help. You may not have broken ribs but torn the cartlidge between them that can hurt more. Either way do what you can.
  2. Your young lad did very well. He is an absolute dead ringer for my 2&1/2 year old cocker "Blaze" my whole family can't belive the likeness.
  3. Haven't watched it for 20yrs. Can't say I've missed it. If you watch it, turn your back to the screen and listen. The tone of peoples voices is so aggressive. They all rant at each other.
  4. Lots of birds now eating ivy berrys in my area. In the last week or so they have gone from green to that dark black/brown colour. That's how they like them.
  5. Most types of thermostatic showers would be fine with your combi. Just check if they are combi compatible. I have a combi with a bar type shower. That works just fine. Not the flow of a power shower. But a lot better than your electric shower.
  6. Average year for acorns round my area. Acorns and conkers seemed to drop early this year. Also other berrys about. I've seen pigeons on Hawthorne berrys just a few days ago.
  7. She is now probably on the suckers list. They will sell her details on for the highest price. Lots of charities will now try and bleed her dry. Make her aware of that. Most charities are money making machines with a ballance sheet to satisfy. Beware
  8. Very interesting I wonder what the percentages are standing and sitting. The amount you fellas shoot I don't suppose you even take a seat or if you do you don't use it.. Have you ever shot from a hide sitting. ?
  9. Well done again. Fantastic as ever. I look forward to your posts. Every weekend and you've excelled again. Looking at the height of the front of your hide. Do you and DB shoot standing or have high ish seats ?
  10. In the last few days I have noticed birds getting under oak & beech in the towns & villages. I now drive a lot with my job and yes it can lead to some iffey driving. But you just can't stop yourself. Addicts
  11. Had them round last week. They are just CHUGGERS. On about 50% on your monthly donations. They just give you the sales pitch and hope you bite. They probably have no interest in animal welfare just the money.
  12. Once your a shooter. Any bird flying across field of view. You automatically draw a bead on it in your mind were ever you are. My son who started shooting six years ago found this after a short time. It never leaves you. The man whoever he is must have been shattered for days after that and suffering from shell shock. Well done that man.
  13. I think your right about the acorns. However I thinkthey dropped early this year. Don't know if that will make much of a difference ?.
  14. I was over there in August I got some bits at Walmart. Scrim and some see through netting. I found they don't realy shoot like us. Had some fun on the gun ranges shooting pistols & assault rifles.
  15. Even vegetables are alive. Obviously in not quite the same way as animals. So we all kill to eat. Maybe sustainable things like fruit and nuts is the way forward. We could all become fruit & nut cases.
  16. My son uses 28gram RC Sipe 6s He finds them not to punchy. They stop pigeons no problem. Not cheap though.
  17. Thanks for your replies. That should be a great help to me. You cant beat a bit of local knowledge and advice.
  18. Is this your favoured shop Fenboy. I don't want a shop that if you drive a van and dont want to buy the latest Berretta they look down their noses at you. I've been in a few of them over the years.
  19. Looking for a gun shop in the Ely- March area. Good for carts & accessories I am working in this area most days now.
  20. My crazy cocker has a real passion for pigeon. ( no brain ) He does get in quite a mess with the feathers. He passes through the ones he swallows. Next day. I do make sure he has access to lots of water while retrieving. That does seem to help. I can imagine pigeon feathers can annoy some dogs. They are dry and light and stick around the mouth.
  21. I did it about 5yrs ago. It was great fun,but hard. I can recommend a book that covers it in great detail. Book: Brian Smailes The national 3 peaks walk ( official challenge guide ) We had 8 walkers in a large minibus with 2 drivers. That worked quite well. Ben Nevis was the hardest to get up. Scafell Pike was the hardest To navigate.
