Hi all just recently got a mach two myself i too asked the same questions on here and got some very good advise an some not so good but in the end i liked what i had read on the net and that so i managed to get myself a marlin 917 vls secondhand in mint condition stuck a sak mod on it and it also came with 500 rounds of eley ammo and ime more than impressed with it not as noisy as the hmr flat to a hundred yrd an can do one hole groups at 75 yards no problem ive only been out with it twice as not had it long but both times out with it it has downed my chosen quarry with ease the ammo is around a five to eight pounds for fifty i no a place that has thousands of rounds in stock as i contacted ammo supplyers before i bought the rifle so no worrys there ammo wise bought mine for shooting corvids with will b out more through the summer at them as at the mo am buisy with the foxes with the 22.250 cf due to the start of the lambing on my farms up in the hills my advice on the mach two is get one ime glad i did good little round that in my opinion does what it says on the tin cheers and hope this helps

Hi i have used and reloaded in the past 40 grn in my 250 but went bk to 55 grn felt they were better but now use a 50 grn factory load sako arrow head wi nosler bt fantastic round flattens foxes fast an spot on not cheap per twenty at around thirty quid but worth every penny as there bang on target every time ensuring quick clean despatch of charlies

Cheers wild iv had a hornett in the past cracking little cf but in order to get acurate rounds u definatly have to reload an ammo ime using in 250 is 31 quid fa twenty50grn sako arrow head wi nos bal tip superb ammo an hits the spot every time but too dear fa crows on a regular basis cheers

Any body using any other ammo other than 17grn ie any of the 20 grn cci ammo wondered if it copes with wind drift any betta than 17 grn at 150 yrds as been throwing the idea of getting a hmr again for corvid controll had one years ago seem to rememba wind blew it about a bit past 120 yards have considered other calibers of rifle se recent posts by myself but everbody says hmr is the tool for the job na been shooting em wi a .22 rimmy not got the range though ok up to 75 yrd an also usin my 22.250 which does the job no probs out to vast ranges but a dear do ammo wise and a bit too noisy in the daytime even wi mod on dont reload any more either your veiws on the above are welcomed also what are the cz 455s like in .17 hmr as my last hmr was a ruger 77 years ago thanks again

Thanks again for imput all of u i have spoke to a guy who shoots a mach two he loves it too and have spoke to gun shops that i use and all say ammo can be got an they stock a small ammount of it ive got a use fa a mach two so ime gonna get one after crimbo out of the way i shoot a .22 rimi an a 22.250 an i wouldnt part wi either of em like i say i have a use fa mach two an there cheaper to feed than the hmr cheers
