The price wouldn't include the carcass and as Toontastic says it would be broken down into three stages, the £70 is for the time and advice stalking with an experienced guide whose job is to get you into safe and sensible shooting range of a target deer. The second price (cull prices shown in original post) is for the shot plus the head for any medal class animal. If you were looking to take the venison home it would be charged at £1.00 per 1lbs with head and feet removed on the day of stalking. There would also be a offer to have the deer fully butchered and vac packed at an additional cost but if you are interested in that offer you will need to mention beforehand. Hello Ladies and Gents I have a some fantastic deer stalking on offer with high quality muntjac, roe and fallow that all being in very promising numbers across several extremely scenic farms in north Wiltshire and south Oxfordshire. We aim to provide days for all levels of deer stalking experience from those who have never been before to those with years under their belts. On the day of the stalk you would be met by one of our experienced and friendly guides and taken through a pre shoot brief. Whenever possible we would head to a separate part of the farm to check zero and ensure both you and your guide are happy with your shooting before heading out for between 2-3 hours stalking. While we can’t promise you the deer as after all they are wild animals our guides have a brilliant knowledge of the ground and will do their very best to guide you right onto your target species. After every successful stalk your guide will offer you the chance to take photos with your quarry to help remember a fantastic stalking experience. Hi everyone I am running crow/rook/jackdaw roost shooting sessions again this year. Shooting will take place in a wood that is approx 6-8 acre that is highly populated with corvids on average we are seeing over 400 birds nightly in this long standing roost. The shoot is based in North Wilts, just a few miles from the Royal Wootton Bassett area. Roost shoots tend to be 1.5-2 hours with the very best shooting at very last light, this shoot offers many different shots that will challenge any shooter. Shoots start with meeting in Royal Wootton Bassett with a brew and quick pre shoot brief followed by a short drive to the shoot. Bookings from between single guns up to three guns max as to insure plenty of shooting for everyone. Cost of roost shoot is £20 per gun, gun rentals are possible if required at a small extra fee and cartridges sold at the cost price. All guns need to have and be able to prove shooting insurance e.g. basc or cpsa. These birds will be a great experience for anyone regardless of experience. PM for any further info or booking. Cheers for your help walker570, managed to get on a couple of walk one stand one days last year and trying to get that again. Can't find any days on guns on pegs for under £500 which to me is far too much for a day out in the country side

Hi I am trying to pick up a few days this season on driven pheasants ideally in the south west but can't seem to get info into small local shoots that won't break the bank. Hi everyone I am looking to try and get onto a dsc 1 course or something that would count as the same qualification. I have called basc and still waiting to hear back from them but the person I talked to didn't seem to think any other course is important as it might not be recognised if I went for dcs2 (something I am not really worried about at the moment). At the moment the soonest dsc1 course I can find in my area (south west/ wilts) is April and due to commitments I have I am not able to wait until then. Does anyone know of anywhere I can either get onto a dcs1 course (willing to travel pretty much anywhere in uk) or a course that will cover the same important information and count so that I would be able to be granted .243 without restrictions on my ticket. Ant help would be amazing please feel free to pm me.

Hi everyone I have a chance for up to 2 guns at a time to come decoying Canada geese over stubble fields near Royal Wootton Bassett, north wilts. This will be decoying at first light, meet and have everything set up ready to go at first light. Curently we are seeing an average of 50 canadas every morning. The bag limit would be 3 canadas per gun due to landowners request to avoid birds being wasted after they have been shot. No extra charge for taking the birds home with you. There will be at least 1 guide between guns but most likely a personal guide for each gun. Well behaved dogs are very welcome. Requirements shooting insurance e.g. BASC -proof must be shown on day or no shooting. suitable cartridges- NON TOXIC suitable size shot for birds in question. seat while in the hide recommend good clothing for possible bad weather Price is £50 per gun. If the canadas don't play ball there is a very large rookery nearby so you can hopefully get some sporting shots.

Hi guys I know many people don't use ferrets at this time of year as the ferrets have their minds on other things. I have been asked by one of my permissions to use as many methods as possible to reduce the rabbit numbers as they are causing so much damage. They are being lamped on a regular basis but it isn't enough. The permission is in the chippenham area. Just to be clear this is a one time offer to someone with ferrets and equipment to come and help me out, hoping for a decent bag as there are plenty about and I a happy to share any out. I run a part time pest control business and one of the farms I control has a bit of a rabbit problem. Due to previous shooters who from what I can figure out couldn't shoot straight there are a fair amount of rabbits but wont sit for the rifle when with night vision. I do not have ferrets but as there are many clear warrens that took well used to me I am looking for someone who owns and knows how to work ferrets. looking to mainly use nets with possibly a shotgun out to deal with any runners. I have pigeon and crow shooting days available, we are currently seeing high numbers of birds with many days recently being between high 40's and 60's, and the occasional red letter day. I do insist that you have current insurance for example BASC or equivalent. The days will be taking part in north wilts close to royal wootton bassett. The cost will be £45 if you provide your own equipment or if you wish me to provide the equipment that can be done for £60 if there is a need to borrow a gun that can be arranged easily for £10, cartridges can also be provided if asked in advance. I will spend the whole time in the hide with you I wont be leaving anyone helplessly in a field by them selves. Pm me if you are interested or have any questions

Hi as the title suggests I am looking for somewhere local to try game shooting to mix up all of the crow and pigeon shooting and possibly fit in a few more days wildfowling than last year. not wanting anything that is going to break the bank but just to be out with like minded friendly people with the chance of a few shots. I am fully insured and it would be for definitely one gun possibly two. hi guys, just wandering if anyone around is seeing any wheat fields being cut as I have a few and want to get on them as soon as possible. farmers not being to helpful with when they are expected to be cut. anyone got any ideas of when they may be cut cheers

i would say to get what my friend calls a ***** scarcer they can be fitted to gates and it works by setting on a 12bore blank and it doesn't half make someone run. before anyone says they are totally legal as a few of my landowners use them to keep people out of areas or away from kennels. you can buy them online or should be at the cla this weekend

I have made 30 of these my self and used them yesterday morning. although i arrived late and had to move out of the field due to muck spreading only two hours later i had some great reactions from the crows especially as they are very touchy at this farm. within 5 mins of them being out i had 15 birds come off a flight line 300m away. well worth the time and effort!!

Hi guys I have come across a problem that I am not sure of the best way to handle it, sorry for the long story but want to make a full picture. Two weeks ago I was given permission to shoot rabbits over a stables using either air rifle or my suppressed .410 Mossberg due to making sure that I make minimal noise possible. Two of the fields are being rented and I was not told until the person walked into the field and shouted at me. I politely replied by saying hello and introducing my self and then showed the signed permission from the landowner. i said that i would text her to let her know if i was going to shoot over those fields and gave her my card with number and as well as my insurance details. Today i went for a walk around to try for a few rabbits so before setting off from my house i gave the person renting the two fields on the permission a text to say i would be there and she left a message on my phone (couldn't answer as i was driving). when i got there and listened to the message it was very abusive saying how i was banned from her fields, she would call the police if i go in the field, i was stressing the horses, that i am breaking the law ending with her saying she is looking forward to having an argument with me next time she see me. Before i go back to the land owner on the warpath about her tenant can any say where i stand legally as i believe that i am in the right especially as i have kept to all agreements made and i have a contract with the landowner saying all land they own and under their control and none of the horses seem at all bothered about any noise at all. what would you do in this situation? Hi guys I am looking to get a days shooting where I can build up a decent bad of preferably pigeons. been shooting crows lately but they are not showing on my patch in over the numbers of 40's so want to make a decent bag of pigeons. I am in the north wilts area but I am willing to travel. I have current SGC, basc insurance and a fair bit of own kit, willing to pay for a day.
