  2. Hi,

I was wondering what would be your best price if I bought both guns off you and any other shooting equipment you have as its for someone starting up.

You can phone me if you want or txt me as Im not always on my computer.

    Cheers

  3. Hi Mikky, I think the thing with clay shooting is you tend to go in little groups as someone needs to press the button to release the clays, while someone keeps score. So its usual to heve a few pals shooting together...plus its nice to have a little competition. If you want to try clay shooting, let me know, I'll gladly take anyone for a shoot. I'm no expert, but I've gone from hitting 7 out of 50 to 20+ out of 50. I'm not a greta shot, but I just love shooting cartridges!!! Hi Gordon R, Yer dead right, it is indeed the Grouse on Hayfield Rd...went this Sunday with a pal, had a great shoot, then went for a nice breakfast in the pub. If you go there for a breakfast.....beware of the Mega-breakfast....It comes on a catering tray, its absolutely enormous!!!!! Only scored 20 out of 50! Great day all the same!!! I like the grouse....its not the cheapest, £13 for 50 clays (I supplied my own cartridges), but a good day.
  4. I've watched the video several times now.....I reckon its a mink, we had one at the lodge I fish on and it moved just like that. If you want to catch a mink, they love mars bars!!! Thats how we caught ours...then shot it, for stealing a load of fish. But I'm definately no expert....at anything!!!
  5. WOW...that is an awesome photo!!! I'm totally amazed at the quality of the photo, with superb focus and bokeh. Which lens did you use and at what distance....I couldn't get a photo that good with a tame bird!!!! Utter respect
  6. Hi, I'm brand new to the forum, but not a million miles from you, just over the border in sunny Manchester. Stu
  7. Cheers chaps, looks like a great forum, with a lot of good info on it....I'm not the most prolific poster on sites, but enjoy reading!!! You might have gathered from the forum name, I'm also into bikes....useless at riding them, but still enjoy it!!! Bit of a pattern emerging here, me thinks. Loads of hobbys...rubbish at them all!!! Oh I enjoy flyfishing too......and guess what, I'm average at that too!!!! Regards, Stu
  8. Just found this forum and decided to join, so thought I'd best say hello. I'm from Manchester and enjoy clay shooting....usually going to the grouse shoot on a Sunday and Worsley gun club. Unfortunately I work **** shifts and can only go a couple of times in a month!!! I'm not a great shot, but really enjoy shooting with a few mates (I've got an old Lamber sporting 12 bore, but looking to upgrade to something special, soon). I've just recently bought a nice air rifle (daystate mk3), so I can play in the garden, without annoying my neighbours ( you cant let off a 12 bore in Manchester without issues arising ;0) ) I'm not much into killing things, but really love sport shooting. I reckon I could get into pigeon shooting though, as they seem to use my car for target practice....sweet revenge!! Anyway, thats me, nothing special, just enjoy a bit of shooting when I can. Cheers, Stu
