  1. Our first season we released 70 ringed ex layers straight into cover at dusk. 6 days shooting returned 13 birds that were ringed. Three seasons later two more of these birds were shot. I suspect there is still one or two around still. If your prepared to get a zero return then what's the harm?
  2. Tree rat day for three of us from our shoot. 41 little *******! Total 707
  3. We have a clay shoot annually, makes £300. A hog roast inviting people along, makes £150. At this we raffle a 50 bird day, went for £300. Surely you can make a few quid somewhere?
  4. I have three flappers on intermediate timers. On rape especially I find movement important, three means you should always have movement in your pattern.
  5. If that's where their feeding, that's where you need to be!
  6. Welcome and well done, a good day! Mr pigeon
  7. We managed 35.8% on pheasants. 84.7% on ducks 13% partridge. Our pheasants and partridges are ex layers and we have no neighbouring shoots so very happy.
  8. Hi there, 50-75 but not worried if more are shot. Hope that helps
  9. Hi guys I MAY possibly be looking for a team of 8 guns to buy the one and only sold day on my syndicate shoot. The day will be early November and consist of pheasant, duck and partridge. Price is £30 a bird. It is on the Hampshire West Sussex border. Bacon roll and coffee in the morning. Usual sloe gin, toffee vodka, blackberry whiskey. Lunch ie pies jacket potato tea coffee cakes. 5 driven drives. Brace of birds at end of day. It is a hampshire shoot so don't expect starlings but birds are well presented. Reasonable dogs welcome. Other halves welcome. It is a family shoot so a relaxed fun enjoyable atmosphere is guaranteed. Pm if your interested. Many thanks

  12. We had our beaters day on the 10th, shot 57 which was a record for our shoot! Two weeks later we shoot 58!
  13. Yes the bucket stops it going everywhere! It's obviously moist so does come out stringy sometimes but its perfect for hand feeding. Or put it through spreader.
