  1. I've got one, Northumberland probably a bit far for you to travel though....
  2. I've got a T3 super varmint I'm thinking about shifting, I'll send you some pictures if you're interested
  3. Hi guys, Bought early 2015, around March and only been used a handful of times, so getting rid to help fund a new enduro bike. Grade D tube, 45mm shim on the eyepiece adaptor, and IR illuminator. In fantastic condition as you would expect. £1100 collection preferred but I will post it if required

    What's your budget?
  5. I use a sightron sIII with a starlight archer and that works well, no good on my falcon menace though - can't see the crosshairs unless you wind the magnification right up which makes finding your target a right hassle
  6. I've been a handful of times, although not in the past few months due to work. It's good crack, and loads of fun. Every time I've been you can buy cartridges if you need them.
  7. This sounds promising, I hope they turn mine around as quickly as they did with yours!
  8. Cheers Mark, looks like I'll be calling Saddlers mate - I don't think I could convince the other half into a trip abroad to alter a gun! Molot Vepr12
  9. I don't think the barrel is particularly easy to remove so it would have to be done in situ. Gun is a semi - Saddler could you send me his contact details please?
  10. I'm looking for someone that can cut my shotgun barrel down to 19.5 inches, thread it for a choke and weld a muzzle brake on to bring it back up to 24" Teague can choke it, but can't weld the brake on so this makes them a no go, any recommendations on someone to do the work? In the north east would be useful but it's not a deal breaker
  11. id say ideal range is the range you normally shoot at, so if that's 40 yards set it for that, it's not really as precise as zeroing a riflescope you're just looking to be as close to the centre of the pattern as possible
  12. That's a great help thanks - we did not know who owned the Pape records so that's great I'll get it touch and see if he still has them! The barrels were browned by James and the re-engraving was done by Malcolm Long Chrisash the barrels are held in place by a sliding bar like this - Thanks for the replies guys, I'm so happy with how it's turned out and I just can't get over the transformation
  13. as far as safety is concerned yes it would make sense to re proof, but I've been told that while the gun is sound it *may* not stand up to the proof testing. As the gun has been in my family for generations I'm not particularly keen on sending it off to proof and not getting it back. I'll be firing it remotely the first time, just in case!
  14. Depending on how damp the boards are it might be worth replacing the board with a waterproof board like hardibacker. Dont grout the join between the bottom tile and the shower tray, use silicone instead as it won't crack and fall out
  15. Oops, Yes 1862! No I haven't shot it yet, but I will be once my black powder licence arrives
  16. Just to tie this up, here she is now Originally made in 1862 the old girl has been through a lot as the first photos show. A huge thanks to James aka Demonwolf444 who has done a superb job on the restoration!
  17. This is my W.R Pape family heirloom, long forgotten about and left to perish. It's away to be restored at the moment, but should be back with me shortly - I'm so excited to get it back, I've had photos of the finished product and its stunning, but for now you'll have to make do with the before
  18. I've got an Atlas BT10, build quality is fantastic but it's not a particularly cheap option. Can't compare with a Harris as I've never owned one
  19. £11,500?! Jesus that's grim! A mate of mine had a new engine fitted under warranty, They weren't going to do it under warranty at first and it was going to run him £8000
  20. If I had a land rover I'd probably need to carry something like this I'd still love one though
  21. Just as well my work trousers have plenty of pockets!
